When it scraped against my fur, pain seared through my body. I stumbled back, a growl ripping out of me. “That blade…” Robert’s voice cut into my mind, sharp and alarmed. “That’s not ordinary. Be careful.”

The young ones were always so stupid. I made quick work of slashing him one time across the chest. He let out a slight cry of pain.

Use them well to protect yourselves and the civilians!" Arthur said. "Yes, sir!" the officers shouted. "Good! Intensify your physical training; a vampire's strength is like that of a wild horse!" "Sir! I once fought a vampire, but they possessed telekinetic powers—they could lift me and strangle me from a distance!" Tom noted.
