Len was falling into pitch black darkness, voiceless and motionless. Before he completely fell buttocks first on the cold carpeted flooring of the palace his eyes revealed a vision to him. The sky was at its darkers, the buildings were burning and were crumbling down, people were falling from the sky as massive pillars made of soil and sand raised from the ground reached the sky. As he fell on the ground his vision returned to normal, blinked numerous times and rubbed his eyes furiously.

I didn't feel safe here. As soon as I neared the light, I closed my eyes from its intense glare. As soon as I closed my eyes, I felt my feet gave out from under me. I looked down and realized that I was falling. I waved my hands and cried out as I fell. My body felt heavy and it seems as though I was falling from a far distance, because I could not see the ground.

I just swallowed the lump in my throat to hide the growing tremble in my voice. My body suddenly stilled. It stopped falling, and it was as if I was frozen in the air, or I was in an anti-gravity room, and I didn’t feel the rushing wind anymore. I tried to open my eyes, and as I did, I could see that the darkness was fading, and I was slowly moving downwards again. However, instead of my feet being the first one to break my fall, I was suddenly twisted in mid-air by an invisible force, and my head was now at the bottom. If I hit the ground, my head would be the first thing that would break my fall.

Adjust the drip and look at the flow, when the drop continues it means you did it right. I lifted my gaze to the bag of blood hanging above my head. My world spun and blurred, and I lost my strength to fight as the blackness was falling over my vision. Completely.

I picked up the dumbbells from the floor and started swinging them aggressively, hurting my arms in the process. I needed to get my thoughts straight. Then again, I felt sharp in my pain in my eyes. I instantly dropped the dumbbells and they landed on the ground with a thud. My hands shot up straight to my eyes, my fingers scratching roughly on them. Then I opened my eyes and I couldn't see anything again. "Have I turned blind?" I asked myself, panicking. Suddenly, a strong wind began to blow, and when I raised my head up, I could clearly see the dark clouds. Then I checked my surroundings again and everywhere was still dark. I could only see the clouds, nothing else.
