Blurred Vision After Waking Up Novels & Stories

I opened my eyes but with the sunlight shining my eyes, I squinted my eyes to refrain any sunlight coming to my eyes and not get my headaches any more worse. I turned to the other side and opened my eyes a little. It was blurry and I couldn't see anything. I closed my eyes tight again and opened my eyes slowly. The blurriness slowly fades away. As the blurriness ran away, a familiar shirtless human was sleeping at my side of the bed. Oh no. Oh no no no! What happened last night? Why don't I have a memory of the night before. Please don't let this be what I think it is.

I woke up in the medical centre. Blinking blearily, it took me a while to return to myself. My vision was blurred, hazy streaks of light and dark and other things, colourful things that I could not yet truly recognise, spun together and made my temples throb.

I blinked to clear the blurriness that was creeping into my vision as I focused on the task in front of me. I was just exhausted. The events from yesterday, and the fact that I didn’t get enough sleep, were contributing to it. I kept working, scrubbing faster when my vision blurred again. This time, I couldn’t ignore how dizzy I felt. The clothes slipped from my grip as I tried to steady myself, but everything tilted before me. And then, everything went black.

She came over to me and shined the light pen in my eyes and I blinked against the brightness. “How bad is it?” “The medication takes the edge off of it, but we are working our way up to an 8 out of 10 even with the pills.” Her smile turned to a frown. “Your pupils are a little slower to respond to the light. Have you been sleeping well?” I shook my head. “I get about three to four hours a night. During that time, I see…or dream…flashes of things I don’t remember. Sometimes I feel and can’t see. Sometimes everything is blurry. But I just wake up in a cold sweat.”

She said instead, obviously trying to change the subject. “ And?” She realised a frustrated breath.“ And it disappeared the moment I stood up. I had a piercing headache before that and then my vision went blurry.” I creased my brows, my brain analysing her explanation.“ Can you remember what happened before that?” "Yeah, I think I had a dream that felt so real. I can't really explain it, but it felt like déjà vu.” I nodded knowingly. She most likely regained a fragment of her memory that triggered her eyesight, but I'm not telling her this.“ You had a visual Remission, and in a few days, you should get your sight back.”

When I wake up, my vision is blurry and my head is groggy. I feel nauseous and cold. I don't know where I am. I try to open my eyes to get a better look around, only for my stomach to somersault. I begin to dry heave, using what little strength I have not to throw up. I lean back and feel my back rest against a cold wall. I lean my head back slowly, allowing my stomach to settle before I try to open my eyes once more. After several minutes, I feel the nausea begin to settle, so I try to open my eyes once more.

Nothing deep or serious enough to cause any scar. I would have to give it to whoever did the work for knowing just what to do, because when I opened my eyes, I didn’t feel any head pain or even a headache. The blurry sight was as a result of keeping my eyes shut for a while. From the brightness of the weather outside, I could tell that it was already dawn, although I couldn’t tell what time it was. Right now, I didn’t feel any pain, but I just wanted to lay here and try to get rid of all my head thought about when I was passed out.

I mumble, woozy with exhaustion. My eyes shoot open and my body goes taut, shooting to sit up in bed. I grip my hands over my eyes, seeing the world spin, everything about my vision blotted and blurry with exhaustion and confusion. The only thing I can pinpoint is Xander is no longer in my head.

Now that she woke up and realized that she was in a car, her head throbbed in pain, her vision was blurry and her mouth was dry. She blinked a few more times to get a clearer picture of her situation, and she began to remember the things that happened before she passed out.
