___ Selene’s POV The dim candlelight flickered against the old parchment as Selene traced her fingers over the delicate pages of the book Ronan’s mother had given her. The scent of aged paper filled the air, mingling with the subtle hint of burning wax. She had spent hours pouring over the text, meticulously taking notes on anything that seemed remotely useful. The book contained knowledge lost to time, secrets about the origins of their kind, forgotten magic, and hidden weaknesses that could turn the tide of war.

Amora asked Alex while looking at Alex and his hands looking for the book. "No, mother, I didn't find it" Alex replied while wiping his sweat because he was tired of looking for the book. Until suddenly, Amora saw a book that was on the top shelf. The book was dark purple in color and had white beads that glowed and the only book that gave off a white glow. "Alex, that book looks interesting could you please get me the book?" Amora said while pointing at the shelf where the book was, Alex suddenly looked at the book and nodded to his mother as a sign that he was going to take the book.

Days before. Jade kept her green eyes open, like every night, because of her chronic insomnia. All around her, the silence was so raw it hurt, and only the moonlight from the rainy seasons lit up the black sky in the middle of the morning. The books that were scattered on the floor were no longer to her liking, she just needed a glance to remember them perfectly for the rest of her life, so the library was no longer her favorite place to be as it had been before.
