The top book is the same one she read on the plane when we traveled, I take it from the front and take the bottom book seeing that it's actually a photo album, I can't contain my curiosity and open it. Not many pictures, most pages are empty. But there's a picture of baby Lillian, she's the cutest baby I've ever seen in my entire life! The white button-up the baby is donning in the picture has Alexander printed boldly, but the woman holding him looks nothing like the woman Alexander calls mother. Maybe I’m not seeing clearly because it’s an old picture. I bring the book closer to my eyes. My hold falters. The pages fly open. Pictures fly across the floor. My breath stops for a moment. I got into my car, drove carefully toward the local book store, they had the new book reserved for me. It was supposed to one quick drive, until I walked into the library.
