Book Title Cover Novels & Stories

Yam sliced it open slowly, hands trembling. Inside was their book. “The Art of Staying.” Cover: a sunflower. A crooked shelf. Two mugs—one chipped. And behind it all, the suggestion of a fan, mid-spin. Franc stared at it like it might whisper back. “Feels unreal,” Yam said. Franc flipped through pages. Some with artwork. Others with Yam’s poetry. Their story—wired beginnings and all—now bound in matte finish. “I think this book breathes,” Franc said.

As I stepped into my bedroom there was a light glow from the corner of the window seat. I edged my way over a little nervous. Only to see a book. A beautiful leather bound book. With a white wolf engraved in the cover. It was that giving off the glow. I picked it up and read the title. "Legends Of The White Wolves". My breath caught in my throat. I was frightened and nervous and not at all sure I wanted to know what was inside. I raced downstairs and launched myself into. "Lily's arms... '' What is it, my love?

Maybe I am dreaming… yes, life has been so stressful recently and that is what is happening but that book keeps on grabbing my attention. Moving towards it, I see that the cover is practically made of crystal. It is so sparkly and I can’t resist touching it. As my hand drags along the book, I feel this longing towards it. As it were mine so I flip it open and a gust of wind hits me in the face and multiple images flashes in my mind.

From the inscriptions on the width of some of the books, they were history books, although some were written in some other foreign language. Picking out the blue book, I discovered it was a novel, like I had thought. It was titled 'Enchanted.' "Always loved fantasy novels..." I mumbled to myself, holding the book to my chest. I noticed though that the book's cover was stark, not like the usual books I read which usually had the pictures of a man or woman as its cover. But that didn't deter me. The name was interesting. My legs led me back to the board. A mystery to solve. I thought, biting my lips. I would have to tell Jeremy first. It would be nice to have some action and adventure here.

“So this book, what was the colour of its cover?” She scrunched up her nose. “Brown… I think…” she said. “It has been such a long time, the memory's a little foggy.” “What was the title?” I asked her, my attention drawing towards the more brownish looking books. “History of wolves and vampires… I think… something like that.”

“Calm down Celene, the book..it's not going anywhere.” I didn't bother answering him, he couldn't possibly understand what was at stake, I would finally understand what had happened to my people, why my mother had made the decision she had…I could finally understand my true nature…everything. The book looked unassuming tightly wrapped with a dark red clothed cover, embossed on it, a wolf painted silver, excitedly I slowly unwrapped its cover. The rhythmic pounding of my heart is a testament to my eagerness to learn. Yellowed pages delicately sewn in come into view, My eyes turn to meet Alex in a glance as he leans closer, his eyes a mix of curiosity and amusement.

Not sure exactly what I was looking for but I figured I’d know it when I see it. After walking back and forth down a couple isles, I turned the corner to go down a third row of shelves when something caught my eye. I walked straight to this book that was pulled out further than the rest. I tried to blow some of the dust off and all that managed to do was send me into a sneezing fit. I pulled the book out and looked at the cover. I could tell was that it was an old book; it looked like it could crumple to a million pieces at any time. I wiped some of the dust off the front cover but there was nothing on it. No title or author or picture; nothing.

Felicity felt a familiarity to the book but could not remember where she had seen it before. Felicity inspected the book. The cover had a golden lining, a brown cover with no writings on it. Inside it was a book mark that was red in color. From a single glance, she could tell the book was extraordinary. Without the title, she could not tell whether she had read it before or not, neither could she tell who it was from. She set herself down on the edge of her bed before opening the book. In the first page was a message for her. It read:
