Chapter 67 Veronica's POV Before we got back to the hotel, the news had already spread like wildfire on the internet. The two most famous rich men, proposing their love to a woman like me. I could feel the stares of surprise and glares of hate as I walked down the halls from men and women alike. Thankfully, Morgan stood by my side like a second skin, refusing to let go of me for a second as we entered the room. What she had told me in the car stuck to me. How was I supposed to survive and live my semi perfect life now when every one in the world would have their eyes out for me?

Veronica's eyes snapped shut, she then pressed her hands on her temples as if to block out the intrusive thoughts that flooded her mind because of the strange voices. “You truly attract problems wherever you are,” the voice continued, its tone so spiteful. “You've only stayed here for a few days, and there's a problem erupting from every part of the pack. You have brought your curse upon them too.” Megan, who noticed Veronica's sudden silence, turned to look at her but saw that her eyes were completely shut. With a concerned expression asked, “Veronica, what's wrong? Are you okay?” In just a matter of minutes, Veronica's forehead immediately had beads of sweat and her breath became intense,

VERONICA “Calm down Veronica ... .your panic won't help…neither would any form of fear…it's all a game to them just make sure you don't lose.” I said to myself as I stared at the mirror. I didn't sleep. The cream-colored folder sat on my bedside table all night, a silent, mocking testament to the fact that my entire life had been cataloged, analyzed, and predicted before I ever set foot inside Vassal & Bane. The words Recruitment recommended burned beneath my eyelids every time I closed them. I had spent my time believing I was the one pulling the strings yet there is an unknown face calling the shots with them.

CHAPTER 7: REBORN LUNA Veronica Pain stretched through my body like a daring arthritis as I tried to move. A sharp moan escaped my lips and I lay back down, then it came flashing back. I was still adjusting to being a vampire as well as learning how to use my magic to its fullest. I didn’t want to stop my lessons. My exposure to Sybil’s mutant-vampire world was minimal, and even less to Charles’s vampires. How could I rule kingdoms I knew nothing about and even despised? Surely there were others better suited for the positions.

She moaned softly, head tilting back, eyes rolling in pleasure. “Da-daddy” she breathed, voice shaky. I kissed her neck harder, grinding against her once before setting her back down on her feet. The second her feet touched the floor, Veronica took control. She pulled her dress over her head in one fast, impatient motion, letting it drop carelessly to the floor. Her hands were on me instantly — grabbing my shirt, yanking me into a fierce kiss. Her palm slid down my chest, then lower, stroking my hard dick through my pants with just the right pressure.
