Books For Grandma Novels & Stories

“Bringing gentlemen into a grandmother’s sanctuary.” Kael slid down Aaron’s back with a soft “oomph” and gave her a tired smile. “I missed your bad tea.” “And I missed your stubborn tongue.” She turned to the others. “Sit. I’ll brew something bitter enough to fix whatever you're not telling me.” Alaric chuckled and Aaron gave a respectful bow before settling beside the tea table. But Grandma turned to Kael, took his hand, and led him gently into the smaller room that joined hers—her private space, where she kept her oldest books, dried herbs, and small snacks in tin boxes.

that made her grandmother laugh, ‘that’s great, you better start practice reading… now come here and I’ll read you another one and you’ll sleep after okay? Kaia nodded and went back to lying on her bed. Her grandmother started the story, and it wasn’t long before she saw Kaia’s eyes began to droop and she fell asleep. She closed the book she was reading before she pulls the covers up to Kaia’s shoulders. She kissed her goodnight before going out the room, turning off the lights. The next morning, while Kaia, her sister Kayla, and their parents are eating when her grandmother announced something. “I just published a new book! It’s bound to some bookstores already by tomorrow” she said proudly

I muttered. "Okay," my grandma said as she drove past the shop. The car drove through a parking area and parked. We got out. "You're going to get bored following two couples of old ladies while they do their shopping. There's a bookstore that's next to the supermarket, you can buy some new books." My grandma gave me some cash, and soon we all crossed the road. I went into the bookstore while they went into the supermarket. It was a small bookstore, and I walked around looking for a new werewolf romance to read. I didn't see any.

"Do you ever get lost?" "Sometimes," Grandma winked at him. "That's what makes it fun." James, my quiet boy, was last. He looked up at Grandma with those serious eyes of his. "Do you have any books?" Grandma's face softened even more. "My dear boy, we have an entire library. Walls and walls of books, just waiting to be read." James looked like he might faint from happiness. He grabbed my hand. "Mom! A real library! Can we go see it now? Please?"

"This isn't any ordinary book." Not an ordinary book? what does she even mean by that? "What do you mean by that?" "Tammy," Grandma addresses me. The air thickens, and I feel the pace of my heart against my chest. "This is a witch's handbook." Her words send a tingling sensation through my ear. I laugh, a dry and empty sound erupting from my chest. "You're joking. Right, grandma?" Her expression turns solemn and she shakes her head sideways. "No, dear. I can't joke about something of this nature. If this is what Alfred read you, then-"

It was like my dreams were haunted, which of course they were and they always made me so weak and frail I got back into the room and I realized that Rebecca wasn't on the bed, I frowned as I got out of the room quietly and tiptoed down the stairs, avoiding all the parts of the stairs that creaked. I felt a bit cold as I saw Grandad's favorite chair in the living room and what was worse was the fact that Rebecca was sitting on it, her eyes closed, and she mumbling, I couldn't quite make out what she was saying but it seemed really obvious that she was talking to someone. Except that I didn't see the someone.

“Grandma, I am your grandson. How could you say that? I am not scaring her. She is just a scaredy cat. I even brought here her after she collapsed.” I saw Grandma winked at me as if she is saying to let it pass just to appease Yvee. “Have a breakfast first, okay?” Grandma asked Yvee and she nodded in agreement. “You take her in the kitchen. You both take your breakfast. I will read a book on the veranda.” Grandma commanded before she left us. “Let’s go before the food gets cold.” I told Yvee and walked pass her. I expected her to follow me but I am almost near the kitchen when I turned around to find no one is following me. I went back to the room and saw Yvee looking at my great grandfather

I've been doing that quite a lot lately. “Ahvi.” I turn at the sound of my name to see Isleen standing at the door frame holding a large, thick book to her chest. She smiles at me. “Can I come in?” she says and I nod softly and she comes to sit in front of me and then she holds the book out. I look down at it. It looks ancient and frequently used. “My grandmother gave this to me when I was child, hoping I would be able to master the skills of witch. It's a beginners guide to becoming a witch. It will help you.”

The older woman had asked the servant to call her grandson here. The man nodded. "I met with them, Grandmother. All is still well, and the stories from their little lips still comfort me." "Thankfully, I'm glad to hear that." She took off her glasses and placed them on the table right next to a rudimentary piece of knitting with some woolen yarn and special needles there. Knitting was a great way to fill Grandma Gloria's empty time at home. She rarely went out unless she had an official event like the inauguration of the new 'Gregorious' boutique or the opening of a jewelry store.

Talia’s POV “Talia?” my mother calls as she enters my room. “Yeah, Mom?” I nod and sit up straighter on the floor, quickly wiping my tears before she gets too close. She purses her lips, then walks over and lowers herself beside me. “I brought you something,” she says, handing me a small, worn book. “I thought it might help.” I take the book from her, and I immediately recognize it. It’s my grandmother’s recipe book, filled with old recipes, each one tied to a memory. I flip through the pages slowly, my fingers brushing over the familiar handwriting. “Thanks, Mom,” I say, holding it carefully.
