People are confused about how these things happen. They want to read things that make even the crazy parts sensible to help put it in context.”

This was my last hope. “This is my last hope! This fucking study is…” I would have roared, body trembling and palms sweating when my gaze fell on the bookshelf. “Maybe I'll find a book that will help with my madness after this.” I sighed, giving up. I began to rummage through the covers, hoping for a title that would catch my attention. Shawn seemed to read a lot of books on self-growth and improvement. He also read a few about redemption but when I found one titled: ‘The Weightiness of Guilt’, something about it drew me closer.

She must've been reading something she didn't think I was interested in. "What type of book then?" I asked. "It's a help- book". She said, and I looked at her curiously. "Was it for you?" I asked her, and she shook her head. "I-I want him to be okay". She said, her voice unsteady as she pulled the book out. I grunted, slamming one of the books on the ground. “Give me some help at least!” I growled, hitting the table with my fist. There was an unusual wind that disturbed the room. The whooshing sounds almost made me lose balance, and it barely lasted half a minute. By the time it was done, there was only one book close to me— the one I had thrown on the floor. It was opened to a specific page, and I immediately knew that was the help. Maybe She listens after all. I picked the book, “about damn time I got some help.” I ran my eyes through the page, trying to find the exact point that'd open my eyes. I finally found a pattern.

He probably wouldn't be too happy with my mom right now, can't say I'm not either. The bell rang making me jump a bit. The bells are still on the automatic ringer apparently. I went to all of my classes and returned my books. My last stop is the library. I had a book that I kept almost all year. It's about depression. The librarian looked concerned when I checked it out but didn't say anything. When I returned it she smiled at me. "Did it help?" She asked still concerned. "A lot. Thanks."
