The Light Through His Darkness

The Light Through His Darkness

"Only one way to prove that." "Careful, wife." I warned, my voice low and teasing. "I always rise to a challenge." She laughed softly, her gaze falling to the book she’d closed. "Do you know what this book’s about?" I glanced at the title again, pretending to think. "A family, right? Something about poverty and resilience?" She nodded, seeming a bit surprised though she had found the book in the beach house, probably assuming I've never read it. "It’s about overcoming tough beginnings and finding beauty in broken places. It’s sad but also hopeful." Her voice softened and she looked thoughtful.

The Billiinaire's Betrayal

The Billiinaire's Betrayal

I chuckled, she must be hungry and I don't have the heart to wake her up unless she wakes up herself. I picked up the book I was reading. It's a motivational book titled 'FINDING MYSELF'. After the birth of my child, I was so down that I thought I had everything under control. I almost lost myself in the whole thing. I was glad I have Martha and Bella who helped me out through the whole process.

Too Late To Love Me: I Already Left With His Twins

Too Late To Love Me: I Already Left With His Twins

Ground yourself, Lydia. There is this book Dr Sana gave me the last time I saw her. A self help book. It’s by a woman who was dealing with depression and she wrote about her therapy sessions and her thoughts. I Want to Die, But I Want to Eat Tteokbokki. Every time I read it, something settles inside me. It makes me feel like I’m not alone in the chaos of my own mind. So I picked it up from the counter where I had left it and started reading.

Honestly, I really liked the first few chapters of the book, but it seems like writers changed from somewhere around chapter 10? The writing style and thought pattern changed so drastically and it just wasn't as captivating as it was at first, so I had to drop it.

Devil In Disguise

Devil In Disguise

Before we returned to the hotel, Curtis bought me a few books he said would keep me busy during his conference calls. I wanted to gag at the sight of what he had selected. Why did I let him buy his own selection? Right. Because I wasn’t much of a reader. I knew nothing about books—but I also knew at first glance that a self help book published in 1825 was not going to interest me. I checked the others and realized the latest one was published in 1850. Was my husband reincarnated from the nineteenth century? Well, that was the only choice I had. Either that or try to listen in on his conference call. Knowing it wasn’t going to be of much help, I opened the first book.

Broken Night

Broken Night

“But you're writing about the… about what happened to my friends, right?” “Yes, but people don't read this stuff just for the juicy details. Well, some do, but you can't do much about them.” He laughed a little and was surprised when Janice did as well. “Most people,” Byron continued, “Read the kind of books I write to get to know the people involved, to help them understand what happened. People are confused about how these things happen. They want to read things that make even the crazy parts sensible to help put it in context.”

Reunited With The Bad Boy CEO

Reunited With The Bad Boy CEO

This was my last hope. “This is my last hope! This fucking study is…” I would have roared, body trembling and palms sweating when my gaze fell on the bookshelf. “Maybe I'll find a book that will help with my madness after this.” I sighed, giving up. I began to rummage through the covers, hoping for a title that would catch my attention. Shawn seemed to read a lot of books on self-growth and improvement. He also read a few about redemption but when I found one titled: ‘The Weightiness of Guilt’, something about it drew me closer.

Married to the Billionaire

Married to the Billionaire

She must've been reading something she didn't think I was interested in. "What type of book then?" I asked. "It's a help- book". She said, and I looked at her curiously. "Was it for you?" I asked her, and she shook her head. "I-I want him to be okay". She said, her voice unsteady as she pulled the book out. It's title in bolded letters, blinding my eyes as I tried to focus on her sorrow words. HOW TO DEAL WITH A LOVED ONES PASSING.

The Alpha King's Human Queen

The Alpha King's Human Queen

I grunted, slamming one of the books on the ground. “Give me some help at least!” I growled, hitting the table with my fist. There was an unusual wind that disturbed the room. The whooshing sounds almost made me lose balance, and it barely lasted half a minute. By the time it was done, there was only one book close to me— the one I had thrown on the floor. It was opened to a specific page, and I immediately knew that was the help. Maybe She listens after all. I picked the book, “about damn time I got some help.” I ran my eyes through the page, trying to find the exact point that'd open my eyes. I finally found a pattern.

My Gang Leader

He probably wouldn't be too happy with my mom right now, can't say I'm not either. The bell rang making me jump a bit. The bells are still on the automatic ringer apparently. I went to all of my classes and returned my books. My last stop is the library. I had a book that I kept almost all year. It's about depression. The librarian looked concerned when I checked it out but didn't say anything. When I returned it she smiled at me. "Did it help?" She asked still concerned. "A lot. Thanks."

Quite Interesting and funny at the same time. As the ML characters are of literally 2 different worlds with quite an age difference. So they are always creating funny moments which does bring smile on my face. Waiting for further chapter as how it moves forward.
