We were awful, but it was so good.
There was this guy at the bar, sunglasses inside, like he was somebody, and every time we looked over, we just lost it—like, actual tears, trying not to snort-laugh margarita up my nose. Jasmine started in on her boss, who apparently had a full-on breakdown over a missing stapler, like, shouting, sweating, losing his grip on reality, and I nearly choked, had to grab a napkin because I was about to spit tequila everywhere.
It was stupid and messy, and I swear my stomach hurt from laughing, but it felt like breathing again, you know?
