One thing that was very peculiar to me was that there was no librarian to ask for directions. As if the library could read my thoughts, I found myself in an aisle of books on the topic of light. I saw many books that piqued my interest. I saw books on werewolves, I saw books on witches and I saw books on humans. I was about to turn to the next aisle when a book dropped with a loud thud at my feet.

I sit down, flip it open and before I knew it I am reading it and almost half through it. I laugh once but it was a broken sound. The big bad wolf always wins. I put it back and run my fingers over the spines. I could stay here forever and no one would care.

Everything felt connected somehow. Then something strange happened. The door opened. By itself. No dramatic explosion. No cosmic music. Just a quiet click. And slowly— the door swung inward. Beyond it waited... a library. Silence. Absolute silence. Hope blinked. "A library?" The creator looked personally delighted. Dangerous. Very dangerous. The room beyond stretched impossibly far. Shelves rising endlessly upward. Lanterns floating between rows of books. Warm golden light. Dust motes drifting lazily through the air.

You might find my characters irritating at some point of time but there is the reason for such behaviour which will be revealed over the period of time.
