I called, stomping my foot in frustration. My flip-flops had slipped off when she shoved me, and I had stepped straight onto the broken glass. The sting dulled quickly, numbness creeping in where pain should have been. But even that barely registered. I was still reeling from what had just happened.

But what I didn’t expect was that while I was making my way upstairs, I accidentally bump my left foot into a solid base that it quickly fell off and broke. “Shoot! And as I panicked to head upstairs, I rapidly climb up not realizing that when I stepped on the floor, I even accidentally stepped on one shattered piece of the glass vase that left my left heel with a quite deep wound. Since I didn’t want Leon to find me out here, I managed to pull my feet away from the shattered glasses even though it my feet feel sore from the deep wound the broken glass has caused me.

It was a glass from the a broken bottle, that had pierced my feet making it bleed heavily. Tears came in my eyes, but I held them back grabbing the glass and pulling it out of my feet. I felt the burning pain in my feet, but I couldn't do anything right now, except for clenching my jaw. I placed the feet back on the road and started dragging myself again. Enduring so much pain, my face and eyes had turned red. With every step I took, I felt a sharp layer of pain shooting up my leg, starting from the bottom of my feet.

I scream and kick it, realising too late that I’m not wearing shoes. My toes crunch loudly, and pain shoots up my leg. Tears spring to my eyes, and when I look down, I can see four of my toes turning blue and rapidly swelling. I'd be glad that I only broke four toes, except that my little toe is bent all the way to the right and clearly dislocated. Cursing myself, I hobble to my couch and flop down to stare at my ruined foot.

The bright crimson river spilling over the shard made it impossible for me to tell how deep it was in, and if the pain was any indication, it should have been poking out of the top of my foot. With the pain radiating up my leg, I was 90% sure it had hit a nerve, especially since I could hardly bend it. It didn't matter if I pulled the piece out, I still would not be able to walk on it anytime soon.
