Cemetery Bells

Greg closes his eye while shaking his head. "Are you sure, you can drive?" the past Emily asked. "I don't want to die yet," she added. "No one's going to die tonight, I am completely capable of driving." Greg shakes his head again, trying to shake off his dizziness. He then started the car and it began to move. Greg drives a little fast. "Slow down, Greg!" Zachary tapped Greg's shoulder.

The Way of the Dragon

The Way of the Dragon

“Yes sir!” the men replied. Once more, Zephyr laid his eyes on the books, his gaze rested on one of them. The book was covered in a layer of dust and was made of bamboo. It looked unique. “Thunderfoot?” Zephyr muttered as he opened the book, reading its contents. A wave of excitement washed over him. He excitedly flipped through the pages, carefully memorizing the technique’s intricate steps.

Beatrice Beecham's Cryptic Crypt

Beatrice Beecham's Cryptic Crypt

If Beatrice had been able to unscrew her eyelids for a second she would’ve seen Patience collapse against the sink unit of the Userkaf’s kitchen with her hands clamped to the side of her head, ineffectually trying to shut out the terrible noise. The sound had started when the lobster was coming to boiling point. Beatrice had placed the first creature into the steel pot when the water was tepid. As the water began to heat up, a small buzzing noise had both Beatrice and Patience looking around the kitchen for a wasp. Then the water bubbled and hissed and the buzzing noise seemed to morph into a single pitch, going from uncomfortable to agonising in mere seconds, immobilising both girls with it

Wrecked by my enemy

Wrecked by my enemy

tink*—a dry, metallic sound that came every four seconds, matching the gold second hand on his mother’s watch exactly until the digital clock on the microwave across the room turned twelve-thirty-one. The silence was broken by the buzzer on the wall. It wasn't the soft, polite chime they had in the Park Avenue prospectus. It was an old-fashioned, raw iron bell that sat in a small grey box next to the refrigerator, its hammer hitting the casing with a violent, vibrating *bzzzzzzzt* that made the glassware in the cupboard rattle against the shelves. Elias didn't move for three seconds. He didn't go to the intercom. He stayed by the glass, his forehead still cold from the window pane, his eyes

Beatrice and the Lord

Beatrice and the Lord

Division 24 The man looked confused. "The deaths? It has been peaceful in this area." Beatrice frowned. "How so." She mumbled to see a figure leave the church through the other door close to a burner. "Ha! Something is burning." She said, and the father turned to have his eyes widened. They both walked to the pulpit of the church and behold a book was on the burner while the fiery fire burned. Father Jude had gone to bring water to quench the fire and when the fire that had been burning was quenched, Beatrice squinted her eyes to see that three of the books in the burner had burnt to ashes but one had not burned..not a single scratch on its body.

THE TRIPLETS' SECRET FATHER

THE TRIPLETS' SECRET FATHER

Each beep was like a heartbeat, a rhythmic reminder of the outside world intruding on the quiet sanctuary of the room. As the phone continued to ring, its persistent tone grew louder and more insistent, as if pleading to be answered. Beep beep. The sound seemed to vibrate in the air, creating a sense of unease and anticipation. It was a call to action, a signal that something important awaited on the other end of the line. Beep beep. The phone's relentless ringing seemed to fill the room with a sense of urgency, urging whoever was nearby to pick up and respond. Each beep was a reminder of the passing seconds, a ticking clock counting down to an unknown deadline.

At Break Time

The intermittent sound of the beeping device gets louder and faster. " Now it's my turn to try to redeem myself with you, Peter. You need to wake up so we can talk, remember? You know what I'm talking about." I say and squeeze your hand to make sure you really hear me. And once again the immediate return. Peter wiggles his fingers. And move again. The device beeps faster and faster. Beep beep beep beep… "Peter? Peter, wake up, my friend. Please…" Beep, beep…

AN ALPHA IN HEAT: KNOTTED BY THREE POSSESSIVE ALPHAS

AN ALPHA IN HEAT: KNOTTED BY THREE POSSESSIVE ALPHAS

A loud electronic buzz shatters the silence. The sudden noise comes from the wall intercom near the bedroom door, and the harsh sound makes Beau jump in shock. He gasps and grabs the heavy comforter, pulling the fabric tight against his chest to cover his bare skin. The fear in his eyes breaks my heart, and he looks around the room in a panic. "It is just the communication panel," I tell him, and I place the ceramic bowl back onto the wooden table. "No one can enter the bunker without the security codes, so you are safe down here."
