Rhea's POV Brielle picked up her sword and stood her ground. I narrowed my eyes, tracking every movement she makes. Brielle met my gaze with the same intensity, determined to win against me. She raised her sword, her fingers tightening around its hilt. I could sense anger in the way she held her sword. She wasn't just determined to win, it was something more personal. Kitchen had been the first to get an overhaul, but I didn’t complain about the newly installed Beta apartment with a private bath. “It’s my birthday,” Rhea cheerily chirped, holding up the cupcake like a prize, clearly happy to see her alpha too. I say as I try to remember the date. She gave me the biggest smile. “I got two presents. My wolf is called Layla. She’s a little shy.” “What was the second gift?” Rhea steps back and snaps her fingers. A flame appears on her finger. “Benson, I’m part witch and I have a power.” She laughs as she examines the flame. “When the hunters figured out, I was shifting. They tried to take me. They weren’t expecting this,” she says, smiling as she holds up a finger. “No one was. That’s how Paulette got hurt.” Rhea looked sad.

Rhea is the most excited to go as she hopes she finds her mate while I just hope I don't run into that annoying Alpha Edward again. I put on a black short dress with my black wedged boots. Rhea wears a nude crop top with a matching skirt while Layla decided to wear black skinny jeans with a red crop top as she hate dresses. Rhea does my hair and makeup first, then after arguing with Layla she finally convinced her to wear makeup and style her hair. Before we walk out, I take a deep breath. "Mate, if you're out there here I come". ETHAN'S POV

All the girls look beautiful in their own right. "This is for you queen Thea" the assistant bought a box and presented it to Thea. Thea looked at the red velvet box with surprise and opened it curiously. She gasped with surprise when she found a pair of diamond-studded earrings and a matching diamond pendant inside it. "Beautiful," Ophelia said with aww. "Ya," Thea agreed. She tentatively picked up the pendant and fastened it around her neck. It sits beautifully on her collar bone.

“And now I’m the one standing.” I drove the blade in deeper. Kael’s eyes dimmed. And he fell. --- I turned. Rhea stood still, eyes wide, the battlefield in ruins around her. “You did it,” she whispered. “No,” I said, walking to her. “We did.” She reached for me. I caught her hand. It was warm. Alive. Real. And as the first rays of dawn touched the battlefield, we stood amid the wreckage. Victorious. But not untouched. Because nothing born in blood ever leaves you clean. ****
