Dane’s POV A call to my private number startled me, even though I was already awake. I reached for my phone and put it to my ear, not bothering to check who the hell was calling because whoever could find that number, was definitely not a small fry. “I'm sure you know I know now?” I paused in my head. Know what? And who the hell is this? That's when I checked the true caller. “Michelle Hart.” No way in hell. I nodded my head, even though she couldn't see me.

I’m close to my phone when it rings again. “Shit!” I rush forward, holding out my hand to telekinetically bring my phone to me. It’s Kristy again, and I silence the call as fast as I can. There’s demonic dog drool on the screen, making my phone unable to register my finger. I quickly wipe the phone off on my dress and then answer Kristy’s call. “The fuck, Callie!” she spits. “Where the hell are you?” “I told you, I’m in the building next to the bar. Are you still at the bar?” I take a few quiet steps down the hall.

Daisy smiled at the weak “crazy man. She asked Dash “aren’t you tired. You said more than I thought.” “Do you feel better now?” Dash asked Daisy. “Yes, a little bit, though.” Daisy replied politely. Dash got happy to start conversations with his ex-lover. Suddenly, Dash’s phone rang, Dash was in a bad mood at once. Especially when he saw who was calling, Avis, his younger brother.

"I can't make these calls alone. They need your perspective." There was a pause on the other end of the line. "Okay," he said finally. "I'll be there in thirty minutes." He arrived looking carefully neutral. We didn't hug or touch or do any of the intimate things we'd been doing before Wednesday's disaster. We just... existed in the same space professionally. That night, I came down with a high fever. I was barely conscious—my mind drifting between dreams and delirium. For a moment, I thought it was still three years ago. Instinctively, I called Howard for help. But instead of his voice, I heard Phoebe's syrupy tone on the other end. "Who's calling you at this hour, Howie?" It was late, yet the two of them were still together. The fog in my head cleared just enough for me to hang up the phone immediately.

Foxy agreed with surprise. "Thanks!" she added a second later and the girls all smiled at each other. A sound erupted from Ruby's purse. She looked startled for a moment and then grabbed her phone and looked at the display. She grinned and showed it to Cassy who also grinned before answering it. "Hey, Mac!" she said and paused. "Aww. We miss you too!" Ruby continued while the rest of us listened to the one sided conversation. "We really do!" Cassy yelled at the phone.
