’ Enyo yells. I close my eyes and breathe deeply. When I open them, a blue hue falls over the room, and I feel a power settle over me, just as it did when the rogues attacked. I shift my attention to Luna Cassia and direct my power at her rather than Uncle Alex. “Luna! Command them to stop!” I yell, and I feel a tidal wave of power rush from my body. Cassia yelps and yells, “Gamma Alex, stop!” Uncle Alex releases Ryna’s arm, and the two of them breathe a sigh of relief before looking at me with wide eyes.

Even if I knew their first names (and surnames) by now, I still referred to Gray's five best friends using their respective Power Ranger colors in my head. It was something that'd left an imprint on my brain, one that satisfied my mildly compulsive need for symmetry. Also, since it only happened in the safety of my own mind, it was harmless. Rest assured, I used their real names out loud.

Badly. "No!" I scream again. The power inside me bursts. It bursts out in a powerful wave. Light bursts from my body. The creatures are thrown back, screaming. I scramble to my feet, gasping for breath. Lucas knocks Callum to the ground, standing over him. He raises his hand, dark power whirling. "No!" I scream. I throw everything I have at Lucas. A beam of pure light slams into him. He screams, the sound raw and terrible. He falls back, holding his chest. Smoke rises from his skin.

Abby’s POV When I asked Carla what kind of healing power I possessed, she only gave me a name. Moon’s Call Grace. I had heard of it before, somewhere in the old legends, but the details slipped through my mind like smoke. When I pressed for more, she refused. “We must train more,” Carla said firmly. “Your power needs to awaken fully before you understand it.” And just like that, the question slipped away from me. The next morning, I trained again at dawn before getting ready for the restaurant. My muscles ached, but my mind refused to rest.
