Novel & Cerita Calm Before The Storm Book

This is the second in the insanity Series dealing with the Watson's and the two characters of Max and Deanna. The third will be released in November of 2020. The name of it is Breaking the eye wall. It continues shortly after where Weathering the storm leaves off. A tie in series will be released in December called "The nightmare begins." This story though fictionalized did happen in the US in late 2019. The charaters will be along or the journey in Breaking the eye wall but they will have their own series called "Nightmare". This is the first book in that series.

Me: Sure, can you pick me up from my aunt's? Collin: Sure. What time? Me: 7? Collin: See you then. When my life is calm, I know there's a storm on its way. That's how it happens, right? You are either in the calm before the storm or right in the eye. And that's where I am, in the eye of the storm. It's calm only for a moment. If I look around me and see my horizons, I will see the swarming chaos encircle me and surround me. I won't be consumed by it quickly, but when the eye passes, it will hit me hard.

Something in my chest is way too still, too still. Like the air right before a storm.

"It's almost here." Celeste's head snapped up, her panic shifting into urgency. She flipped through the pages of her book, her voice trembling as she whispered incantations under her breath. "No, no, no," she muttered, the words spilling from her lips like a mantra. "It can't be here now. We are supposed to have two hours at least." I moved to the window, my steps awkward and lumbering in this unfamiliar form. The storm was worse than before. The black cloud rolled toward us like a living thing, its edges crackling with lightning. The rain hammered against the glass, drowning out the sound of my ragged breathing.

He just waits. I exhale and stir my porridge, watching the steam curl upward and disappear. “I don’t know,” I say finally, keeping my tone light, and careful. “It just feels… quiet.” Maren tilts her head. “Quiet is good, right?” “Not this kind,” I murmur, then glance up, forcing a shrug. “You know that feeling? Like everything is holding its breath?” Cole leans back in his chair, studying me. “The calm before the storm,” he says.

Prologue It is often said that, there is the calm before the storm. The ice-cold air before the raging fire. The echoing laugh before the sob-filled mourning. The unbearable pain before the satisfying pleasure. The high flight before the big fall. The unstoppable fight before the wavering surrender.

No one wanted to speak first. The sound of raindrops hitting the glass wall, the warm puff from the cup, the mingling smell of chocolate and coffee and the warm gaze of someone seemed to be a combination of calming her. In Ha could calm herself better. Arthur felt the same way. This calm was very different from the silence he felt every day. The silence that accompanies his days was like a nightmare that passed in an instant. But Arthur knew they couldn't stand still. One of them must speak. He felt this was the calm before the storm.

River I had just settled into the quiet. The coffee Kaiden brought still lingered in my veins, and the couch had finally stopped feeling like an adversary. My fingers lingered on the edge of my phone screen, waiting for a reply from Sage that hadn't yet come. I let my head fall back against the cushion, exhaling. The calm wasn't peace. It was a pause before the inevitable storm. Everybody knew that, I knew it. It was calm like this that unleashed the crazy coming.

“The calm before the hollow storm.” Sokolov locked the door. “And when it comes… we stand as one.”

But because he wanted me to. I don’t know what that says about me. Or us. Was there even an us? Or was this just temporary comfort in the middle of chaos? A fragile peace before everything exploded again? I threw off the blanket, groaning as I sat up. My heart was doing the absolute most. I walked to the window, running a hand through my hair. The forest looked quiet. Peaceful. Like the kind of calm that came right before a storm. My stomach tightened. A soft knock pulled me from my thoughts—this one less military.
