I look past Baxter. Xander stands there. The Alpha Heir. He is breathtakingly cruel in his beauty. He wears an all-black suit that clings to his broad shoulders. The sleeves are rolled up, revealing the heavy black ink of his Alpha lineage tattoos covering his forearms. His jaw is clenched so tight the muscles tick. His dark eyes are fixed on Baxter with murderous intent. "Back off, Baxter," Xander commands. His voice is laced with the Alpha command. It makes my knees weak and my breath hitch.

I’m curious to see just how bold the b*tch who laid her hand on my son is.” Bucky had always been an arrogant and overbearing man. He thought nobody would dare to make an enemy out of him. Jake smirked as he dropped the huge werewolf onto the ground after punching it twice. "Good choice! I really thought I was going to have to kill you too. Good thing it didn't come to that or maybe it should" he said as he grabbed Marcus's neck gripping it tightly. "No please don't kill him,please Jake!" Bella cried out as she appeared next to him using her werewolf speed.

“That bloody curve?!” Xander stumbled back with a small laugh, hands lifting instinctively as if to steady them all. His dark hair was damp, falling messily over his forehead. His jersey clung to his torso, number 9 bold against his back. He didn’t look like someone who had just ended a match. He looked calm. “That was beautiful, mate,” the team captain said, gripping his shoulder. “Absolutely amazing.” Xander exhaled slowly. “It was just instinct.” “Just instinct,” someone scoffed. “You’re unreal, Savage.”

It’s then that we see two headlights heading our way. The car comes to stop about 15 feet from us and out come two human police detectives. One them I know. Scott Buckingham, a good-looking guy (well, good-looking as far as humans go) with deep brown eyes and light brown hair that always looks like he has bed head. Add to that his slightly crooked smile that shows off his perfectly arranged, white teeth and he has the kind of easy, all-American boy good looks that you’d expect to find in a movie about a high school football team. Except he’s no longer a high school student, instead he’s actually my age. The other guy, shorter and stockier than Scott but cute in his own way with reddish-brown
