Catherine had always been looking forward to her free day as she either get to do her thesis or play detective and sometimes both but today she decided to find her brother Felipe as she have found a person to help her — big time. She went to Tacky’s apartment holding a brief case containing all the data that could help her find her brother Felipe. They went to the same room or which Catherine would love to call the “FBI” room as there was so much technology in there. Tacky is a computer engineer and a mystery nerd that she had met during a project in a general subject.

She needed to make sure that Felix; the Cat, didn’t hurt the fairy when he chased her. Felix was Kelly’s brown tabby, and he was a natural born hunter. Kelly was often removing small creatures from her shop. Felix often brought snakes and mice to the shop with him from the fields. It was not unheard of to hear Kelly explain to Felix he’s not allowed to have his own pets and she was more then capable of feeding them both.

I realized with a start that the small animal was a kitten, and the large cat was its mother. The mother cat looked at me, then at her kitten, and then back at me. I held my breath, not wanting to frighten her. She gave a soft growl, but then she seemed to relax. The kitten turned to me, its eyes full of trust. I knew then that I had nothing to fear.

Suddenly, an orange and blonde cat with white socks walked timidly over to the edge of the rubble and laid down, mewing loudly. "Come here, buddy." Taren walked over to the cat, but when he reached down to pick it up, the cat hissed and swatted at his gloved hand. "I know your upset, but your Mama's okay. She's in the hospital." Taren stooped down and took off his glove. Then he held out his hand to let the cat sniff him. "See? You can trust me. I'm not going to hurt you." The cat crawled toward him, her eyes wide, and Taren picked her up.
