Dead at Heart

Dead at Heart

She pursed her lips. Lucas shoved the box into her hands nonetheless. "You're still as stubborn as ever. I'm here to ask you about your mom's third death anniversary. If you have any plans in mind, let me know in advance so I can help you with it." Ariel paused briefly. She did not expect Lucas would remember about that. Elena passed away a year before Ariel got married. It would soon be her third death anniversary. Jayson probably was not even aware of this. "Alright, I'll see you at the convention hall in a bit." Lucas looked at his phone and stroked her hair as he always did. Then, he turned around and left.

I read the complete Chinese version; jays and Ariel finally get together. It was a wonderful, short, and concise version. However, the English version being translated into Arabic is drawn out with too many events and characters intertwined. I didn't like the story.

The demon wolf’s Affair

The demon wolf’s Affair

Hands grab me and hold me back and I fight to throw them off. “Let go of me!” Shawn, my father’s beta and Sandra’s father holds me back. “Come to your senses Celine.” He snarls. “Let go! No, Lor! Wake him up!” My denial has crumbled under the weight of the truth. Hart is dead, the latest victim in the gruesome series of murders via desiccation. “No.” I turn into his shoulder and cry, my heart breaking for the second time in only so many hours. “Sorry Celine, you may not touch him.” My father says, staring at the body gravely. “We don’t know if that can be contacted with touch.”

Flying Death

Flying Death

I don’t know why, but something is rotten in my gut and it’s never wrong. We storm through the building, Roddy’s being the last room at the end of the long ass hallway. The door is locked and Grouch sticks his ear to it, then backs up and kicks it open. The immediate stench of death I know all too well hits my nose and I can’t believe nobody has noticed it. It’s at least fifteen doors from mine. Missile and Grouch storm in, but I can already see the lifeless body of Ryan “Roddy” Grimes on the bed. I step in the room and see a needle sticking right out of his fucking arm. His skin is already discolored, he’s been dead a couple days. And nobody even realized it. Some brotherhood we are.

This book has everything in it. Steamy lovemaking, family, danger tigers and more. This book is unlike anything I've read before and it exceeded any expectations I may have had. Brilliant author who never disappoints.

I really enjoyed this story. Your werewolf stories are so different from the typical ones. This one was more like gangs and MCs. It makes it unique. I loved it. I would really love to see a sequel for this one.

If I Could Turn Back Time

If I Could Turn Back Time

At first, Chad told Sonya to leave through the window to tell Caroline of Darren's decision. After that, he turned to Darren. "This is called the Thanatos Emblem. If no one wakes you up in three days, you'll be dead." Darren nodded determinedly. "I've long prepared a cemetery. After the fake death, bury me. And take me out at night." Chad nodded and took out a short needle, poking it into the back of Darren's head. At the same time, Darren took his last breath and became a dead person. After that, Chad looked at Darren deeply and left the room through the window.

The Boy who Circled Time

The Boy who Circled Time

There was a corpse on the floor. There was no way in, and no way for anyone to possibly escape this place. They were bricked into this tiny box of a room, the prison cell only allowed to be opened from the outside, nothing on the inside allowing him to get out of this place, walls made from grey, grey metal, seemingly unable to be pierced, damaged, or scratched. There was nothing but a dry husk left in the bricked up catacomb basement cell here: the pale, pale, deathly grey skin of the body stretched over the too sharp and distinct bones of the body.

Death & Life

Death & Life

They couldn't have been more than fifteen years of age and were both intelligent looking. "We are the new fates, brothers Jackson and Nowell and you two are Rai, the Grim Reaper and Sebastian, a Death & Life soul cultivator, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance," Jackson stated and presented his open hand to us as he stepped closer. Rai shook it first and said we needed to clean up the mess. "We will deal with it, you both enjoy your newly engaged selves," Jackson grinned. We both thanked them profusely and stood back as they waved their hands over the corpses and the bodies and blood all vanished.

s*x in death

s*x in death

A voice I knew all too well. "You forgot the most important rule of the Debt, kids." I froze. I turned around, my heart stopping. Standing in the ruins of the doorway was the younger version of me—the First Life. She wasn't drugged anymore. Her eyes were solid violet, and she was holding a Scythe that looked ten times more powerful than mine. "You can't have two of the same soul in the same room," the First Life said, a cruel smile touching her lips. "One of us has to go. And I like my life just fine."

Little Dead Red

Little Dead Red

The kindness of this stranger nearly broke her. “I . . . I’m not worth it,” she said, and her face crumbled, and her skin crawled, and her hair was matted and she had just endured some of the worst hours of her life, listening to this mad man grunt and groan and howl as he ripped at her skin and bit at her breast. She was glad Aleta was dead. She was glad of it. Because if she had lived with these memories in her head . . . The hunter’s shine from earlier melted and turned into tears, which ran down her cheeks and dropped onto the freshly polished floor.
