Hey, lovely readers, this is a Christmas special chapter, hope you enjoy. A Merry Christmas from me to you . “I love the Christmas-tide, and yet, I notice this, each year I live; I always like the gifts I get, but how I love the gifts I give!” ~Carolyn wells

“Tell me what’s going on or I’ll tell Megan that you ruined that last batch of cookies.” “You wouldn’t.” “I would. Now, spill.” Currently, the two women stood in Jubilee and Heath’s room in the cabin while the rest of the family were either downstairs or outside. It was Christmas Day, and they’d just opened presents, which had mostly entailed watching James and the babies rip open packages with glee. Bea and Bennett had ripped open their gifts with a bloodlust that would’ve been frightening if it hadn’t been so cute. Evie was too little to do much other than pull on the ribbons as her parents helped her unwrap her gifts.

This is a Christmas special chapter. It doesn't go in line with the original book. Just like a stand-alone extra chapter. I hope you all enjoy though. “Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.” ~Norman Vincent Peal . "I know you would rather be on your own, but are you ever going to let us change that?" Ada asked, as she steps into Cainan's room and finds him in the bed, covered up with the duvet.

But she is excited by the musical storybooks, throwing her arms around me as she thanks me. “Your turn,” Chris smiles at me. I am touched to see wrapped gifts from Paris and his mother and have to swallow back tears, still stunned that I have gone from being almost homeless, to not just celebrating Christmas in a lovely home, but being presented gifts as well. I smile at the self-love workbook from Paris and the scented candle set from Mrs. Patrick, but it is the beautiful, pastel blue cashmere sweater from Chris and Muna that melts my heart. “Because we noticed you like blue,” he says, smiling at me.

Hello my lovelies, Just thought I would pop on to let you know that I am now on my Christmas break. I have chapter 50 part written but with all the festive music and baking going on, whatever I upload won’t be doing the book any justice Plus the next chapters are pivotal for the plot.

I bury my face against his neck - which is delightfully warm - and whisper, "I'm okay with that, too." And as he carries me back to the house, I know this is going to be the most perfect Christmas ever. END OF BOOK EIGHT: A CUNNINGHAM CHRISTMAS

This act of giving brings warmth not only to the people we are helping but also to us as well. As the sun begins to set and we return to our home, our hearts are brimming with a sense of fulfillment. Today has been eye-opening for me and a testament to the true essence of Christmas—a time for love, compassion, and selflessness. This is a tradition I will love to carry on with my children, and as I look at the Baker family, I realise how much they have just transformed my life in ways I have never imagined. I understand now that Christmas is not just about gifts and grandeur; it is about the love you give and the lives you touch.

I curled up with Chris in his bed as we watched a movie. He’s been worried about me over the past week, which I feel bad about. I hate worrying everyone. Chris surprised me with a home-cooked dinner and a movie; A Journey Back to Christmas, my favorite Christmas movie ever. I sighed as we watched, “What’s wrong?” Chris asked; I shook my head, but Chris was not about to take that for an answer. He paused the movie and straightened up, waiting for me to talk to him.
