Chrysanthemum Book Characters Novels & Stories

It was the synopsis of the story. In it, the main character was called Lily, an omega who had suffered for many years and hoped to find redemption in her mate but upon meeting her mate, Xander, she found he was arrogant and did not like her. There was also a wicked woman called Selene. That was me. Selene was an evil woman who was obsessed with Xander and tried to separate the couple. The last line of the book read thus; ‘Will Lily be able to win her mate’s heart when a woman with power insists on keeping him?’

It made me want to mess with her again. "Hey," I smiled sweetly. "I didn't get to finish telling you about the book." I leaned back into the fountain, my back pressing into the cold hard marble there as I got comfortable. "I'm telling you, it's gonna blow you away... just like in this one chapter one of the character's accidentally lands on a hand grenade and BOOOM he just goes up in a spray of blood and body parts and brain matter-" "M-my apologies, Miss Huxley," she squeaked, cutting me off, as she held the tray against her chest like a shield. "I really must get back to work. P-perhaps another time."

The flower before her was a chrysanthemum, a delicate beauty with petals of white tinged with soft yellow. The slender, long petals stretched out firmly from the center, their tips slightly curling inward, showing a humble elegance. At this moment, the leaves had already turned yellow, and upon closer inspection, it became clear that this was merely a branch of the chrysanthemum. The main stem had long since died. The remaining branch had drawn every bit of water and nutrients it could to present its most beautiful self to the world. Selena gazed at the little life in front of her and mocked herself for not being as strong. She did not dare to face Koven, Lucy, or anyone.

“Fairchild told you I would be here?” “Yes. You weren’t answering my phone calls so I had to improvise.” He rubbed the back of his neck a bit ashamed. “I needed to see you again. To make sure you were alright.” “Well I’m not and there’s nothing you can do to stop this pain. So stop trying. Have a nice life Officer Williamson.” She replied coldly. Feeling a tad guilty, she turned to him before she walked away. “Thank you for the flowers.” She said walking off. Antonio watched her open the door and walk out of his life. “Officer Williamson?” He turned to Fairchild. “When you get ready I have another case for you.” She handed him a file. “Get better, we need you.”

Chapter 13 The apartment was really dark and gloomy as Antonio schemed the area of the first murder. He searched for any missing clues they missed prior. There was nothing there. The case was going cold. He was starting to lose hope he would ever be able to find the killer. The only clues he had to go on were a rose left at the scene each time. The victims were all of different ages and ethnicities. Without the rose no one would’ve been able to place the murders together. What was he missing?

The last thing he wanted to do was give too much away that now his friend would be back involved in the Sanders bullshit. Surprisingly, a light-skinned woman with long curly hair and bright brown eyes answered the door, holding a crutch and arguing with someone in the background. “I said I got it!” She yelled out, looking at Antonio. She gave a small smile as she tried to recognize him. “Can I help you?” Antonio just stared at her eyes wide and his mouth partly opened as he gulped, shocked and overwhelmed. “Diamond?” She looked confused. “Yeah, that’s me. Are you the new therapist or something? I hope so because you’re kinda cute.” She flirted.

“There is a ball being hosted this evening and The Daemonium requests you to begin preparations. He will present you to the society this evening.” I look up to see a shimmering silver wraith. Stuffing the papers into my dress pockets, I close and haul some of the books before scurrying up and racing out of the library with the wraith in tow. ___________________________ The Daemonium POV “So it is with great honour that I introduce our newest member, Miss Kimberlee Mylean Ashyver.”
