His hand moved again, back to my face. He smiled, in a very weird way, like a fucking clown. His finger teased around my face, from my cheek to my jawline, back to my cheek, to my nose, and my lips. His finger froze on my lips, his eyes were fixed on it, slowly he lifted his gaze, and stared at me.

Clara As I watched the Coliseum fights, I understood why werewolves were willing to kill themselves to get in. There was a heady atmosphere that stirred my pumping blood. Warriors of every size and race fought down in the sandy pits. I saw creatures that I had only seen in books: monitor lizards, tigers, lions, and panthers. The Coliseum wasn’t just a gladiator free-for-all. There were circus acts of skilled acrobats leaping in the air, knife jugglers, and jesters. Drummers kept a steady tempo that thrummed throughout the entire stadium, and musicians blew trumpets when a fighter triumphed over his opponent.

Andrew yelled, grabbing hold of my arm to usher me in. "NO, WE HAVE TO STOP THEM!". "YOU'RE NOT STAYING OUT HERE!" I ripped his hand off of my arm and shoved him into the crowd. "GET THEM INTO THE ROOM AND STAY THERE!" "ELLIE, DON'T DO THIS, YOU HAVE TO COME WITH US!" "I'LL BE FINE, TRUST ME, JUST GO!" I told him as I gave him one last shove. I looked over at the rogues who were still grinning as they watched everyone rush into the hall. As soon as the doors were closed, two hunters appeared out of nowhere with large tin cans and started emptying its contents of gasoline all along the side of the building.

I saw none. Turner made his way to the front of the crowd. He was immediately surrounded by a group of werewolf protectors and hunters with arrows aimed at him. I moved my hand from Bazaar petrified. "I'm not a werewolf," said Turner as a single hand reached into his pocket. "Move again and you'll be killed," warned one of the protectors. "Be calm, I'm just searching for wolfbanes to show you I'm not one of those disgusting creatures," said Turner.

The crowd around us erupted and Big Jim swore, looking like he was about to hit Aaron again for beating him. A handful of people rushed forward to clap Aaron on the back and congratulate him, then he disappeared from sight, swallowed into the crowd on the other side of the cavern. I watched in disgust as all manner of trinkets passed hands. Someone yelled something I couldn't quite hear, but the crowd understood it, cause they settled down and backed up, clearing a space for the two new opponents left standing in the middle, flags attached, sticks in hand. "This is insane," I said, pushing free of the crammed bodies.

Prologue Daniel's POV I went on with my life, not expecting even a tiny bit of happiness to find me, I was just living under the dark side of life. Killing, hunting monsters. No happiness, not even love. Nothing could reach my frozen soul. That is, if I had a soul.

Then in the next moment, his expression turned bright under his mask, as he has just thought of a great idea. "Oh, let's just bring down their number from 20! This is great!" he excitedly exclaimed. The audience agreed with him. Playing along with his act. "What?" the participants asked. "You heard me right! The remaining 20 participants will be the official player of the 'game'. And to do that you have to— kill each other!" This time, the tiled floor is shaking again and in the center, a table has emerged with all kinds of weapons you could imagine, and most of it was stained with blood. Instantly, their faces turned pale.

He looked at the clown and said, “Right.” He asked the clown, “What’s your real reason for invading my territory?” The clown with an unchanging expression replied, “Because I want to annihilate the first defense of all werewolves.” “Why us? Why the black wolf’s clan first?” The clown shook her index finger at him. “No. Just you.” Austin pointed at himself. “Me?” “Yes. Just you.” “Why?” “Because without you, your black wolves are useless.” “How dare you!” spouted Austin.

Now it was time to move. And the pattern they followed by disposing of those who crossed their path and it was so easy to get away that it seemed incredible. With good organization and a quickly devised plan the wolves had left behind a trail of hunters out of the game and no injuries. Once outside everyone did not stop as they ran as far away as they could. Two hunters were left inside who fired, but the hand of one was torn off. Clara's mouth took the piece of meat causing it to fall on the ground screaming. The other, when she went to attack him, had disappeared.

I managed. Ryker looked ready to kill someone. Specifically the clown. The clown simply bowed. I pointed toward the spectacle while struggling to breathe. “Tell me this wasn’t part of your plan.” Zayden wiped tears from his eyes. “It was supposed to be a joke.” Another laugh escaped him. “Not her actual plan.” Kael wandered over at that moment. Unfortunately for him, he arrived just in time to become the next victim. “Who the hell is in the clown costume?” he asked suspiciously.
