Compare And Contrast Gatsby And Tom Novels & Stories

On the way out, they passed a familiar figure. "Evening," Jack said simply. Tom nodded. "Hi Jack," Alex said. Tom couldn't help notice the cheerfulness in her voice. A pang of jealousy shot through him. He wanted her to be like that with him. Everything with her felt like they were carrying a thousand pounds of baggage between them. Tom tightened his hold on her arm. They continued walking, leaving Jack behind. Once they reached the Surface, Tom guided her through the buildings and up the stairs to the roof. A candlelit dinner sat with a golden sunset view behind it.

“That’s why I really like you for my daughter. You're not a wimp like her ex boyfriend who couldn't protect her from any harm” Gabriel scoffed. It was an insult to compare him with that scumbag. The gap was so huge and he knew he was way too good than him in every fvking thing. “Ugh. Sorry. I know you don't like being compared to anyone. I just can't help it. Everytime you did great for my daughter I always remember what that jerk did to Sabrina. My poor daughter didn't deserve all of that!” Tomas ranted. He couldn't agree more.

The Grossman’s hand twitched toward the inside of his jacket, no doubt itching to draw his own piece—a predictable move from the old ‘shoot first, ask questions never’ playbook. “Tomas, you think you’re very smart, don’t you?” Grossman spat out his name like it was poison. “Only on days ending with ‘y’,” Tom replied, his smirk spreading like a wildfire in a drought. “But let’s not dwell on my sparkling intellect; we’ve got bigger fish to fry—or in your case, AI dragons to chase.” The room tightened, air thick with tension. Grossman’s henchmen edged closer, but Tom’s gaze remained fixed on his boss, as if they were the only two men in the world—a matador and his bull locked in a dance of fate

Tom said coldly. He carried Hailey steadily back to their room, and as he did, Hailey turned her head and flashed Jane a victorious "V" sign. Jane suddenly felt like the world had become unrecognizable. Hailey's arrival had shattered her world into pieces. She couldn't understand why Tom would fall for someone like Hailey. Was it, as Hailey claimed, that in the choice between love and lust, men would always choose lust? Jane didn't know. And now, she didn't want to know.

he murmured, “you’re everything.” She pulled back, breathless, her heart racing. The warmth was undeniable, a comfort she hadn’t felt in months. But as she met his gaze, a truth hit her—no sparks, no electric jolt like Alex’s kisses once ignited. Tom made her feel safe, cherished, but not consumed. “Tom, I…” She touched her lips, conflicted. “That was… amazing, but I need to be honest. I feel safe with you, but it’s not… it’s not what I felt with him.”

Braxton said shaking her head. "Hey Braxton, don't even call my sister that, at least she's way better than you, who have slept with almost all the male mobsters in the clan. Your pussy is just as deep as a well, so between you and Freya, who's the shameless one here?" Gatsby said. "At least I don't chase after a Guy like she does" Braxton defending herself, and Gatsby shot her a hateful glare. "Really? you'll have just been like her if the Boss wasn't so scary. Everyone knows you're obsessed with the Boss, the only thing stopping from flirting around him is because he's scary" Felony, one of the molls said.

Gabby leans close to the table with her chin on her hands. "I don't understand." Tommy looked at her in surprise. "Other men would want to take their chances, but you." Gabby raised her brow. "You're not doing that." "I respect ladies." Tommy lifts his glass to his lips. "So you have never kissed any lady?" Gabby who already tipsy looked at him closely. Tommy dropped his glass and rub his hands on his face like someone embarrassed. "No, I have attempted to, but it was not successful." "Really?" Gabby raised her brow in surprise. "Who was that lady?"

The guy greeted before his eyes shifted towards Jasmine as a smirk found his lips, Jasmine felt more uncomfortable. "You were really serious about training this girl huh, Tom?" He asked, almost shocked that his friend is going out of his way to training a girl he just met. Tommy rolled his eyes at his friend before turning towards Jasmine, signaling her to come closer. "Jasmine, I'd like you to meet my right hand, Gray," he said as Jasmine blankly stared at Gray before nodding. "Nice to meet you, Gray," she mumbled, immediately avoiding his gaze as he chuckled. "She's shy, huh?" Gray asked as Tommy scoffed. "You should be grateful, she ain't talking her ass off, asking questions and shit," T

Even from the side of Tom, who, fortunately, was not at home. Louis was jealous of his brother's stoic calmness. Little brother Kitty didn't even seem jealous. Perhaps that was indeed the case. Embedded in an already established relationship, Tom calmly accepted both his role in them and the fact that he was not the only man in her life. He easily treated all her undertakings and did not suffer if the script did not develop the way he would like.

But nevertheless, he knew one way or the other that he has to tell the world and that include his biggest rivals. While he was busy fighting his contradicting thought, Tom’s question brought him back to reality. “Miss Graham… tell me what is so special about you? I have encountered businesses far better than yours.” “My bus—” He cut her short before she could finish talking. “What is so special about you? I'm not talking about your obtuse business.” Jennifer looked at her hands; did he just call her father’s business stupid? “Mr. R—” Even Jerald was offended by the question but Tom didn’t want him to interfere.
