I uttered in confusion, wondering if I heard that right. Suddenly, Dad began laughing, leaving me totally baffled. "I'm sorry, my dear. Did I scare you?" He cackled while I stood there like a statue, trying to get myself. He's laughing? What's going on? "Forgive me, dear. Dennis was the one who told me to speak to you in this tone of voice just to prank you," He revealed, still laughing.

Dad inquired curiously. “Yes uncle. It’s more fun to get on his nerves a lot.” Mikey smirked. “Then I guess I’ve more to learn so I can get on his nerves some other time.” Dad said with a chuckle. “Is this some kind of a joke, dad?” I asked with disbelief. “Don’t be surprised son. I need to get on your nerves some time to see your reaction since Mike says it's fun.” “I’ll definitely skin you alive if you try to teach my dad any of your tricks.” I cautioned Mikey who kept grinning nonstop.

Dad had made fresh coffee. The four of us sat around the dining room table and shared coffee and talked. It was already fairly late, but we stayed up talking for two more hours. We laughed a lot over those two hours. My dad is fucking hilarious when he's "on" like that. It always feels like I'm struggling to keep up with his quick wit, but it's fun to make the effort. What surprised me was that my mom and sister laughed just as hard at my jokes and comments as they did at Dad's. He seemed particularly amused with me that night as well.

I played the recording and my dad sprayed coffee all over his desk when it got to the end. Dad laughed, “Her father was the same way. When tension got high in our ranks, he’d say something totally unexpected and so funny, you had no choice but to laugh. Dad took his clothes off. As we headed for the utility closet, he joked. "If I get electrocuted because my dick touches a wire, you're gonna have to explain it." "I'll just get dressed and leave.
