Darkness cracked his neck to the side, releasing his shadows so they could play. The moment Alpha Derrick moved, Darkness's shadows caught him by the leg, and flung him away. Alpha Derrick's Wolf hit the barricade with a loud thump, before he could regain himself, shadows wrapped around him, squeezing him tightly, consuming his darkness. The wolf roared, biting the shadows, trying to get them off him but he bit nothing but air.

Everything was cleared out, except the sofa and bed. I walked to the kitchen to see if there was anything when suddenly, I heard a beep from my phone. Looking at it, I noticed a service bar, but it quickly disappeared. What the heck? I neared the door, and it was turning off and on. Peeking out the window, I made sure the coast was clear and opened the door to walk out. Holding my phone, I got two bars and quickly dialed Sinister’s number. “Sin-“ I said as I was cut short by Sudden pain and everything went black.

It creaked as it opened the sound echoing through the initial silence. Once in, the stench of decay and stale smoke hit us like a physical force, but I didn’t flinch. It was a labyrinth of half-light and clutter, the space filled with the low murmur of voices and the occasional clink of metal. The men inside hanged around on tattered furniture or clustered around makeshift tables, their eyes immediately shifting towards us with a mix of curiosity and respect. Levi, the boss of this dark haven, stood apart from the rest. His bearded face was a canvas of scars and shadows, his eyes gleaming with a cold, calculating intelligence that had earned him his place at the top.

Aaron instantly stepped back. My eyes widened in shock. Shadow wolves - Kade's Shadow wolves. These creatures made entirely of darkness started slithering out from the shadows around us. Their glowing eyes locked onto Aaron instantly as low growls filled the clearing.

Eliminating the Shadows must be the top priority of the players without losing their top cards but sacrificing one card is allowed. This game is played mostly by two players for a full set, but in Reverie’s case, she only played a half, including 12 pieces of cards. What cards can eliminate a Shadow? It can be three pairs of Rocks, two Musketeers, or one Philosopher. The Philosopher card is an independent card, which is the best choice to eliminate a Shadow, but there is only one philosopher in a half set of cards. If the player unluckily has two Shadows, they might as well sacrifice two or more cards.
