I wheezed, grinning because my brain couldn't decide if I was in hysteria or just didn't believe them, "No. There is no way. You can't be serious? Like... Like in the movies? Like 'howl at the full moon dramatically? And that you get cranky if someone says 'silver'?" I laughed again, bigger and longer this time, loud enough that I almost sounded rude. Asher didn't laugh. It’s one I’ve watched with Tru before. During a scene the main character's female friend scares her, then the boyfriend scares her. When the friend jumps out to scare the character Tru says, “Oh goodness. You caught me having impure thoughts about your brother.” I’m not sure what came over me, but the moment the man shows up, I say, “Did someone say they were having impure thoughts about me?” Tru begins laughing. It’s harder than I would’ve expected her to laugh, but I suddenly realize all the tension she carried from the day is gone. This one joke made all her stress disappear. Maybe I should make her laugh every day?

My eyes widened for a second, then I shook my head and brought myself to look at her with a frown. "Good point. Relationships are complicated, even when they end. Sometimes it's hard to let go I guess, huh?" "I think we know better than anyone." Liza giggled and nudged me in the ribs teasingly. I chuckled, and then we both burst into high pitched laughter.
