The offer expires. Then. Only death.” It turned and walked toward the northern wall. Walked through it, burning a hole in the timber, leaving a trail of molten footprints. Then it disappeared into the forest. Silence. “It’s gone,” someone said. “It’ll be back,” Alina replied. “In three days. With more demons. The Revenant was making a point.”

I had to move fast. I turned through the pages of the spell book with shaky hands until I finally settled on what I was searching for. “Thrakos, Demon of the Underworld, Lord of Hell,” I whispered, my fingers tracing the forbidden verse. “He who commands the forbidden flames of the devil's domain,” my voice grew louder, desperation etched in my eyes, "I call thee, Thrakos. I summon thee to the mortal realm. Kneel before–” The sound of thunder cracking cut me short before I could complete my words. The ground began to rumble and the circle I had engraved on the ground expanded outwards as dark smoke clouded the entire place.

There are only doors here, lots and lots of doors floating around like hooded ghosts. Van approaches the nearest one. The door must be more than eight feet tall for it towers above Van’s head. Though weakened, the demon fought back ferociously, thrashing its limbs and attempting to break free. Edna, armed with her trusty silver dagger, slashed at the demon's tendons, weakening its attacks further. Together, they managed to subdue the creature, but the battle had taken its toll. As the room filled with the stench of burning flesh, the third demon revealed itself. It was a cunning and agile entity, with eyes that gleamed with a sadistic pleasure.

The furniture was made of dark wood, intricately carved with scenes of demon folklore. Soft rugs covered the floor, and a table in the corner was set with a variety of exotic fruits and delicacies.

She didn't feel that it was just worded but felt more warning about the way they were told to her. Bella locked the door after looking outside for the butler, who was nowhere to be seen and food was in her room that needed to be taken out. She pondered a bit, standing by the door, then locked it. She walked to the food and covered them back with the lids, thinking she would take them out in the morning. Bella grabbed her phone and went to bed.
