Divine Hunter Novels & Stories

...Hunter POV... I felt like pulling out my hair. For what seemed like the twentieth time now, the Huntress, whoever she was, had managed to foil my plans. I didn't know who this Huntress was, but she was driving me insane. No matter what I did, she always seemed to be one step ahead of me. Earlier on, I sent my men out to capture another lead. We had been tailing him for a week and found an opportunity to grab him discreetly. He was a minister of the government and was known for taking handouts. Making him an easy target for Silvio.

But his voice was quite stern and I could hear him clearly. “I’m standing right in front of the room of that girl, Sir. She is an orphan and a commoner”. “I’ve told you millions of times that I don’t need commoners. Yes, I did ask you to find red-eyed vampires and bring them on our side but I didn’t mean that you could bring commoners. I know that they are of divine blood too but they are too weak and if they are weak that means they are also weak in their relationship with the Goddess”, said the hooded guy

she asked. Karen had so many questions, and I didn't know how to answer her. I wished I had the answers, especially now, but I didn't, and it kind of made me feel bad. I knew I had to explain things to her a bit. "The Hunter family are supernatural hunters. They are human beings with special abilities to locate and identify people like me. They also can match our skills and kill us. They are the most dreaded bloodline of all the supernatural hunters. It was all fair initially. The Hunters made sure everyone followed the rules, and no one cheated anyone. We saw them more like judges, juries and executioners. Whenever there were issues, the Hunters would solve them. They could tell when we wer

“12 out of 21 deer have been killed by this hunter.” Holding my spear, I am trying to catch my breath while paying my whole attention to the keeper. Keepers are the one who has the information of how many kills a hunter has in an hour. “None other than, Raffi of the Ambrose’s!” I saw my father fixing his hunter’s robe while wearing his huge smile. The whole tribe is excited especially the women of which gender I belong to. I started to walk to the wooden stage created by the tribe for this kind of ceremony. Everybody is happy and I hope this will last forever.

Arrows sang through the smoke like whispers meant to kill. Jet made a break for it but before he could escape something faster struch him. Thwack!—an arrow nailed him to a wooden beam. He screamed once before another arrow found his throat. The room vanished into smoke. White tendrils coiled around broken pillars. Shadows flickered fast, quiet, merciless. Three figures stepped into the storm like ghosts walking through fire. The first tall, coat snapping at his heels, steel in his eyes didn’t slow. Calvin Hunt. The man whose name made wolves flinch. Custom shotgun in hand, still smoking.

But we’d been too injured to stay any longer so I’d mind linked Derrick and told him to send Arianna, our best healer, to me. “The question is why did a hunter attack you?” And that was another question I’d been circling for the last week. We had a truce and they didn’t seem like rogue hunters…but maybe they were. “I’m not sure. Hunters only have permission to hunt pack wolves if they break the covenant. Maybe they confused me for a different wolf?” Derrick’s blue eyes filled with worry as he leaned forward and said, “Or maybe there is a contract out on you?” And that was another question I had. If there was a contract out for my life, who had put the target on my head?

As if bleeding before giving birth was an everyday thing for me. A new year has arrived, but old commitments remain: Hunter, with the second nomination for the Best Player award, wins more sponsors and consequently more parties, photoshoots and commercials, not that I don’t like to see him looking all hot in the photos showing the six-pack, but I feel terrible around him for not having the little perfect body that I had before.

The young man knew that ever since she did not show up at their meeting place back then, she was all over his head. Henry once used God to keep his word shut. Back then, his life was in chaos, and Khana was the sole hope his young self had. But she never showed up on that day and place. In the depths of despair, Henry had lost his one true love, the woman who held the key to his heart. Consumed by grief and desperate to find solace, he sought refuge in the embrace of the divine, becoming a priest to find purpose and heal the wounds left by his shattered romance.

And I was awesome. We reached the front of the church and bowed our heads as we turned to each other. The priest then began to speak. "Ladies and gentlemen… esteemed guests… friends and family… We are all gathered here today as witnesses in celebration of the union between Galen Grunt and Olivia Montey. In the presence of the divine and surrounded by the warmth of your loved ones, Do you, Galen Grunt, take thee, Olivia Montey, to be your lawfully wedded wife? In sickness and in health, till death do you part?’

Thus, he glared at me fiercely and muttered in a voice he thought was inaudible to me, "Just you wait, Melinda. Once you're pregnant, and your belly is protruding, I will beat the shit out of you!" Nearly a month later, I managed to test positive on the self-pregnancy test the day before our honeymoon was about to end. Perhaps I had effectively disciplined him using my strength, or because he planned to regain his right as the head of the family when my body felt weak after getting pregnant as Oliver was very cooperative during our honeymoon and ceased making any scenes. Therefore, we got to spend our honeymoon quite harmoniously. He grinned like a Cheshire cat and constantly glanced at me f
