“Do I smell like hibiscus flowers to you?” Desmond looked at me. “You smell exactly how your tea tastes.” “You smell like citrus. It’s tart and refreshing.” I leaned back, my hands holding me up as I inhaled deeply. “Citrus huh…” He was musing. “Which college was it?” He smiled. “University of New Mexico.” I sat up, my eyes narrowing. “Wait, what do you mean you smelled me when I was a child? He sighed, sweat dripping from his forehead. “I’m okay, Zach. These don't give pain at all.” He replied, his words broken. Nat was a native Spanish just like me, but his English was quite interesting to hear. “Deus is quite an influential, no?” “He is. But he had angered that boxer.” He leaned back on the couch as I patched up his injuries with a bandage. Mr Caine motioned for silence and the room soon became quiet once more. "Now that you all got the chance to take it in, I'd like to introduce Xavier Persons," he introduced polite clapping following his statement, as the door opened a man appears shaking his hand. Confidence radiated off his 6'1 figure, his black hair combed perfectly, his navy blue tailored suit holding his perfectly sculpted body. All eyes were on him but he went unfazed as he turned to face the room.

The annoying man chuckled, flipping the pages of the magazine with Gordon Ramsey’s face on the cover. “Are you for real, Sweetheart?” he rested his elbow on the counter, staring at me, “you have no idea who I am?” I rolled my eyes once again, “I don’t like sports.” He seemed offended. “Not all women who admire me like sports. Some just admire me for my good looks and charisma.”

No more blood spilling beneath his fists. His software company had already skyrocketed into the top fifty in the world—he had more money than he could ever spend. He didn't need this life anymore. He took a deep breath and reached into his car, grabbing his signature cologne and spraying a few pumps onto his hoodie before pulling it up. Time to go inside. The hallway leading into the underground venue was dimly lit, the low hum of conversation and distant laughter filling the space. Kane walked with slow, deliberate steps, his sharp gaze scanning the area.

His presence filled the space before he even spoke. “Mrs. Blackthorn,” he said smoothly, his tone refined, charming even. “I hope I’m not intruding. I do intend to come on time when it is meetings like this.” I gestured for him to sit. “Not at all. You have me at a disadvantage, though. I don’t believe we’ve met. And given your scent, I can tell that you are not from here, Alpha.” He smiled, slow and confident, the kind of smile that didn’t quite reach the eyes. “Forgive me. Alpha Lorenzo D’Amaris. But I choose to go by Mr. D’Amaris when it is amongst humans.”

She stared at me until I finally looked over at her. I said, "What?" As I bit my nails. "What happened?" Kara inquired as I reclined in my chair and let out a deep sigh. "Well, would you believe it? A dog, yes, a four-legged furry creature that loves chasing its tail, suddenly turned into a human, broke a window, and went on a stealing spree. And just when you thought things couldn't get any stranger, the doggy delinquent transformed back into its original form and made a smooth exit through the very same window. Who says animals can't pull off a heist?"

Alex calls, "Hey! Man, help me out a bit here, will you?" Adam smirks over at his brother. "You're not Adam." I mumble, sinking back further into the tree, if that was even possible. "Oh heaven's no! I haven't been Adam for quite a while." Adam exclaims, his eyes glowing a brighter grey, "My name is Abror. Some may call me the Grand Duke of Hades, but you may call me King."
