The morning sunlight attacked me like it had been waiting all night for this exact moment. Right through my thin curtains, stabbing me in the face like I’d personally offended the sun. Ark awakening." Everyone froze. Isaac slowly lifted his head, his face draining of color as the words settled over him. "That wasn't Jonathan," he whispered.

"That’s my Little Bird." But as we turned to enter the gates, the mark on my neck flared with an agonizing heat. I screamed, falling to my knees as a vision flashed before my eyes: A white wolf, towering over a field of corpses, and four men kneeling before her, their eyes turned to ash. Nathaniel caught me before I hit the stone. "It’s starting," he whispered, his silver eyes wide with alarm. "The first awakening." "Damon, get her to the altar!" Félix shouted.

I started, still thinking of what exactly I could tell him, “But I am going to start with one sentence, and I am going to assure you that this sentence is the whole truth, and nothing else.” Harris leaned forward, and his eyebrows were raised in confusion. “Okay,” he answered, “What is it?” “The world is going to end in six days.” He blinked, his brows furrowed, and his mouth grew wide open with shock. I continued before he could interrupt me, “Six days from now, something will happen – I don’t’ know what exactly – but I do know the effects. It will begin suddenly, people will start getting sick, society will collapse, and the dead will rise.”

The Dooms were the strongest in the Greater Realms, and no other race dared to go against them. However, a human showed up and attacked them. The Doom Race would not tolerate such disrespectful behavior. After James entered the Path of Heavenly Awakening, his original appearance and human aura were restored. Thus, the Dooms knew he was not one of them. Moreover, Wyot was not born yet in the current era within the illusion. Even if he were to use Wyot’s appearance, the Dooms would not recognize him. With Hirah’s order, many guards of the Dooms rushed over and besieged James.

I had almost forgotten, that place of absolute nothing. Oppressive and infinite, that was my judgement. There was punishment for self defence, even after death and if this new existence of mine was doom to end back in that place of eternal terror. Then I might as well bath in the blood of these people who turn to beasts the second they smell your weakness. These men who murder their own children to save their own skin, their reputation. These women who leave their child alone and ignorant to the world men, then abandon them when they protect themselves.
