the zombie vampire raged as he charged toward me.
I knew that I only had minutes. The Outsiders could not be reasoned with, could not be bargained with, and had no humanity. They craved one thing and one thing only … blood. “You picked the wrong family when you came after mine,” I said, grabbing his head as I shoved his body against the wall. His chest cavity writhed and the head wore a surprised look as I held it within my hands. When I dropped it to the ground, his head and body both burst into flames. I looked across the room and red, orange, and yellow flames rose from the sectional couch, having caught fire from the other flaming vampire.
