Although Crystal was curled up in Nathan’s arms, she slept restlessly. This was due to a recurring, ongoing dream that she was having, where she was being chased. She couldn’t see who was behind her when she looked behind her, but she could hear their footsteps. It was dark in her dream, and she was barefoot. There were thorns and shards of broken glass on the floor, but she knew that she couldn’t let her pain impede her flight. She was panting and sweating, and her feet were cut and scraped, but she kept running. It was so bad that she was exhausted when she woke up, and her limbs were sore.

8 ½ years later “Why won’t this..stupid thing…turn off..” I growl lowly in my sleep , as an annoying ringing begins to distort my dream – I harshly slam on my alarm clock however I could not resume my dream.. That oh so heavenly ice cream , placed on the table with a handsome Chris Hemsworth sitting across from me starts to glitch up. “No..no…don’t go…” I begin to whimper as his handsome face with a little bit of chocolate on his lips begin to vanish. With in no time , my eyes flicker open and I nearly blinded by the intense sunlight.

The tiny flutters beneath my touch served as a powerful antidote to the fear that gripped me just a few moments ago. As the adrenaline from the dream slowly subsided, my racing thoughts began to settle. I reminded myself that dreams often held symbolic meaning, rather than literal predictions. Perhaps this dream was due to stress and I was overthinking it. "Rico's recent sickness shook me, and the prospect of becoming a mother had brought its own set of worries. It was natural for these anxieties to seep into my subconscious, materializing in the form of unsettling dreams." I thought to myself.

The blood oozed out from my eyes, ears, stomach, and throat. I gasped and jerked my body backward as I opened my eyes. I heard a loud breaking sound, but all I could think of was how I was choking and gagging as I felt my neck and stomach. It was eerily genuine. I felt every bone the knife crossed fracture. My eyes welled up and a sob escaped my lips. Since that incident, I've been plagued by dreams. I hid my head in my hands and attempted to keep my trembling body under control. These nightmares can be enjoyable at times, making me want to sleep indefinitely, recreating the same scenarios over and over. However, there are occasions when things are even worse.

Modern, furnished and beautiful and looking new everyday although the house was five years old already. Juana's coffee was transparent, lot of water,lot of sugar, no milk. So she could see her face while sipping at it. Her big blue eyes were a bit undefined, her expression showed fear with a mixture of helplessness and unusual calm. Then the dream came again. Avocado. Garden. Branch. Third branch. Corpse dripping with blood. Loose. Screaming. Empty House. Dream. "Oh my goodness" she sighed, dropping her half empty mug. She tried to make meaning out of it, but it was a little creepy..

Deangelo. I woke up and saw the gentle sunlight streaming through the curtains. The dream I had just had slipped away, leaving me with a lingering feeling that something important had happened. I felt frustrated as I tried to remember the details, but they kept slipping away like puzzle pieces that didn't quite fit. I sat up in bed, the sheets gathered around me, and let my mind wander through the maze of my thoughts. Images flashed in my mind, like quick glimpses of a forgotten past, but they were elusive, slipping away before I could grasp them.

Climbing in bed I try to sleep, but my mind is stuck, stuck between wishing I hadn't stopped Marcus, and then worried about Katy, what did they fall out over that caused her to run? An hour passes by as my mind wanders until I become too exhausted to keep my eyes open, the dreams are vivid, I feel like I am crying in my sleep, my body shaking. Why am I having dreams now? Why are they showing me Jackson and Marcus locked up and getting hurt? I don't sleep well, I try to wake up from the dreams but struggle to, so they plague me all night, waking up it is morning, and my eyes are soaked from the tears, so I was crying.

And with it, the only thing that had kept the monster contained. Another tremor nearly knocked me down. I caught myself against a crumbling wall. The moment my hand touched the stone, images exploded inside my mind. Cities. Countless cities. I saw them burning. Kingdoms falling beneath black skies. Armies fleeing impossible horrors. People smiling as they walked willingly into death. The visions came so fast I couldn't breathe. Then they vanished. I jerked my hand away. The wall instantly crumbled into dust. "What happened?" Renn asked.

I didn’t even want to open my eyes yet, it felt like if I did, the pounding in my skull would only get worse. For a while, I just lay there, eyes shut tight, trying to ride out the ache. But then, out of nowhere, an image flashed across my mind, so vivid and unexpected that my eyes flew open. “That was… a strange dream,” I whispered to myself, shaking my head roughly as if I could shake the memory loose. My cheeks warmed. Seriously, of all things, why on earth would I dream of something that filthy? “Ouch… my head hurts…” Every part of me wanted to stay in bed, to sink deeper into the warmth of my sheets but the thought of my unbrushed teeth from last night made me wrinkle my nose.

I thought I had forgotten how to smile, but who knew chocolate would do the trick. Sighing, I close my eyes and rest my head on the pillow only to open them back up immediately I see Dylan's lifeless pale face with his mouth drooling blood. My insomnia's been getting really worse, and I doubt I've had any real sleep for as long as I can remember. I wake up from each doze sweating and panting from the nightmares.
