"Mommy is so stupid! Sera doesn't want you touching her!" She reached in and smugly petted the rabbit for a long time. The rabbit didn't struggle once. I lowered my eyes, hiding my smirk. A few minutes later, they left. It was just me and the rabbit. Inside the cage, the white rabbit slowly raised her head. She tried to twitch her nose, but suddenly, her body began to tremble. Her pristine white fur was falling out in clumps, revealing sickly, bruised purple skin, as if something was corroding her flesh.

Smirking, Meph puts his left wrist close to his lips and whispers, “I bet…it’s because you have rules to obey, too.” Though his voice was gentle and almost caring, the snake suddenly glows. “Hsssssss!” A hiss bursts out of his game panel. To Meph’s surprise, the White Rabbit is the first to react to it— “Oh my goodness, did you hear that?!” The rabbit — its skeleton that has no flesh and can’t die — freezes beside Meph, his ears standing straight in the air turning in all directions, and his paws draw up against his chest in nervousness, “A snake! Did you hear the hissing of a snake?!”

There's no way I'm gonna accept dying like this. No! There's no freaking way that I'm gonna die like this but what should I do? Cuddle with it so it would let me go? This is not a normal dog. No dog can be this huge. All of a sudden, it let out a loud howling, followed by two far-stretched ones. I jumped at the sudden sound. What was that, a call but a call for what? Oh my God! Is it calling other rabies to come feast on me?

The rabbit anxiously asked her as she pulled her ears down making a total cute image in front of the viewer. Hellion blinked her eyes and said. “ Can I touch those?” She pointed her finger on her ears expectantly. The rabbit shook her head and drilled herself on the wall. Hellion retracted her arm, disappointed. Xegris then appeared behind him and glanced at the trembling rabbit lady. He raised his brows at Hellion and then pulled his attention towards the innkeeper. “We’d like to check out.” He said with a smile.

he yelped, ignoring Skye’s laughter. A sly grin crept across Dyllen’s face as he reached out again, Eician trying to dance out of reach. The commotion caused by multiple teens barging in at once stopped Dyllen as Brilyn dashed up to Eician, a fluffy brown bundle shivering in his arms. “We found a rabbit in the snow near the trees!” Brilyn exclaimed, looking at his own arms in concern. “It was walking funny and its leg is broken.”

Before I could, Ryan’s voice stopped me. “Have you had any dreams recently? Like… a woman being murdered? A rabbit? Anything like that? I’ve been meaning to ask you.” His questions froze me. I turned to him as he closed the door, my hand still hovering over the notebook. Instead of reaching for it, I walked over to the small sofa in front of my bed. Ryan set the food on the coffee table and sat opposite me, waiting. “Actually, yes,” I said quietly. “I can’t remember much about a rabbit, but… I do remember a woman being murdered. A baby taken away. And a voice that felt like it was dragging my soul out of me.”

As for the young rabbit-women under their care, they would be sent to other households. Usually, rabbit-women who'd been sold to the brothel didn't make it past the third day. Old rabbit-women who wanted to live had to educate their young wards well and make them obedient to men. Having said all this, the woman from the mass grave paused. She'd been sold to the brothel, then faked her death and found herself disposed at the mass grave. Now that we'd both been captured and dragged back to the settlement, only one fate awaited us.

The rabbit looked around for a moment with quick movements before it began washing its fluffy ears with its paws. I drew in a deep breath and pulled the string back, aiming the tip of the arrow at the rabbit’s small body. Beside me, Callum remained silent, just watching. “Sorry, little guy,” I whispered. I loosed the arrow. And missed. The rabbit squeaked, bolting back into the hole as the arrow slammed into the tree behind it. The reverberation echoed through the quiet woods, and I cursed, lowering my bow.
