It had been half an hour since Ella and Eddie began the drive to her village home. The conversation had started out as awkward but as the minutes went by, Ella and Eddie both relaxed. He began by telling her all sorts of stories about his hometown and how much fun he had growing up by the lakeside. "I was on my way to the kitchen for some water. I heard a noise," I spoke before I was able to stop myself. Eddy chuckled.
