Racing towards my teams trap I didn’t notice when he appeared Infront of me, skidding to a stop I dropped down and narrowly avoided his clutches, I rolled to the side jumped up and got close enough to my team to know that he was surrounded. Our target Prince Dagon was a ruthless killer and thousands of years old, not that he showed it. I braced myself for his attack, but he paused and looked at me, confused. “Why do you run from me? Drake spat in contempt at Hunter. I needed to get away from them. I felt trapped. Hunter growled in response to the taunt. He was about to shift. “Ignorant pup!” Drake sneered at Hunter, “Do you know who I am?” His wolf Lycus started surfacing, black hair forming on his scarred face. Those scary red eyes glowing with insanity. I feared for Hunter. “I do, you murderous coward.” Hunter snarled back at him, slowly circling the enraged Alpha. He moved lightly, like an athlete or a dancer. I stared, mesmerized. He was magnificent. Every muscle on his body was strung taught, ready to unleash.

But we’d been too injured to stay any longer so I’d mind linked Derrick and told him to send Arianna, our best healer, to me. “The question is why did a hunter attack you?” And that was another question I’d been circling for the last week. We had a truce and they didn’t seem like rogue hunters…but maybe they were. “I’m not sure. Hunters only have permission to hunt pack wolves if they break the covenant. My thoughts get more mucked up as I shower and start to get ready for the day. I joined a University here in Draphend to try and fit in as much as possible while I'm here.
