She smiled softly and repositioned her posture. “Did anything exciting happen?” Drew blinked, still looking at the placemat. “We painted.” “That sounds fun. What did you paint?” “A cat.” “A cat!” Emily repeated with interest. “That’s nice. I like cats. Actually, l feel like a sleepy cat every morning.” She teased him with a playful look—adding a small pretend yawn. That earned a small smile on Drew's face, but it didn't last.

"What are you drawing?" Jaxon's hand moved to cover the page, then stopped. He studied Elijah's face as if weighing something. Finally, he turned the notebook so Elijah could see. The page was covered in symbols. Intricate, looping designs that looked like writing but were not any alphabet Elijah recognized. Some were geometric, all sharp angles and precise lines. Others were organic, curved and flowing like water or wind. They overlapped in places, creating patterns that pulled at the eye. The wolf recoiled.

"I miss him. I want to tell him about school and show him the picture I drew of him." Marianne managed a smile, though it didn’t quite reach her eyes. "I know, baby. He'll wake up soon, and when he does, he’ll love your drawing." They walked in silence to the car, where Jayson was waiting. Emilio beamed and ran to kiss him on the cheek. Jayson ruffled his hair, smiling warmly. "I made a drawing of us too, Dad," Emilio said, grinning as he handed Jayson the drawing. Jayson’s smile turned into a sad one as he looked at it—it was a picture of himself, Marianne, and Emilio, drawn like a real family.

I pouted. "Nope" "Fine then, if you don't wanna draw me then I'll draw myself" I said and took a pencil. I sat down and face sketch board and started drawing what's in my mind. I finished drawing and I smiled in satisfaction. "Look at my drawing" I said proudly. He turned around and looked at my drawing for a minute then he bursted into laughter. "Why are you laughing?" I asked with a puzzled look. "Your.. drawing is... beautiful" he replied amidst laughter.

I escaped the room with lungs aching, every nerve alight with panic and another emotion I dare not think about. By the time I returned to my temporary office, Emilia was waiting with Johnathan, who clutched a drawing in his small hands. My assistant gave me a sympathetic smile. “He insisted on coming to see you. Said he wanted to give you this before he forgot.” Johnathan ran up, thrusting the paper at me. Crayon lines, uneven but proud. A stick-figure me, him, and a tall man holding our hands. “Do you like it?” he asked, eyes shining.

Leo cheered, skidding to a halt beside my chair and thrusting the paper right into my lap. I looked down at the drawing, a soft, involuntary smile breaking across my face. It was drawn in bold, vibrant colors. In the center was a stone castle with blue flags on the turrets. Standing in the grass out front were three stick-figure people holding hands. On the left was a figure with black hair in a red dress labeled Mommy. On the right was a broad figure colored in black crayon labeled Mr. Tyson. And right between them, holding both of their hands with a yellow smiley face, was a smaller figure labeled Leo.

There, he saw Joy sitting under a large tree, drawing something on the ground with a small twig. Damian hesitated for a moment, but finally got the courage to approach Joy. "Hi, Joy," he greeted her softly. Joy raised her head and smiled widely. "Hi, Damian! Want to join us?" Damian smiled nervously. "I... I can't stay long. But I want to see what you drew." Joy proudly showed him the drawing she had made on the ground. It was a picture of a house with a flower garden and the sun shining brightly. "This is my dream house," Joy said with sparkling eyes. "One day, I will live here, with many friends."

****** Dhruv ****** While I was busy in the discussion with my best friends my phone beeped with a text. It was Saavi's text. She had recently learned about emojis and she sends it to me always whenever she gets free time in between her work. She has become so obsessed with these emojis that she had painted almost each one of them. She had sent me a confused emoji. I asked her what happened and she replied that she is not able to understand some points in the contract and she didn't type it, actually, she used emojis and I am glad that I know that she uses which emoji for which word.

Jones muffled, chuckling intermittently. He let out a smile again flashing his tobacco stained teeth(I really messed up in his storyline). I let a small chuckle as his smile reminded me of an emoji, the emoji's smile had all 36s showing in a funny manner. P.S: let's be reminded that the colour of his teeth and that of the cute smiley emoji can in no way,come into mind at this comparison, that subject is significantly abrogated from this context as we limelight the focus; the similarity between both smiles.
