Theron's POV The day of the event was finally here. This is the day I officially put Twilight on the map. Another success to celebrate. Many of my past lovers have been calling nonstop to accompany me to the event but I turned them all down. I don't want any drama tonight so I decided to just go alone.

As the clones got taken down, Twilight's fate of defeat had been decided. Twilight wanted to escape, but there was no way out. She had planned this for years, so how did she fail? Twilight couldn't understand. After a long silence, she decided to negotiate with Larissa. "Let me go, or don't blame me for disregarding old time's sake." Larissa felt baffled. "Did you consider old time's sake when you attacked Ambrose?"

Pa said that I was trying to be a whore just like Mother. I wandered upstairs to my room in the loft, silent as a pin, afraid to breathe too loudly, stopping at the bathroom on the second floor to wash my face and neck off. Crap, my face and neck red and swollen and bruising already. “Forget this shit, I’m gone.”

Her eyes darted between Jasmine and me before she screamed, “So this was your plan all along, Evan?! You’ve been trying to get rid of me! You and this slut planned this, didn’t you? You’re sitting here laughing at me behind my back! “Oh, I see it now! I cheated on you, but you’re no better. You two have been screwing each other for God knows how long, haven’t you?!”

Instead, she cut her wrist and as the drops fell on the earth, she said these words. “I, Sabrina Weston, curse you Lightning Sauron, son of Lucifer Sauron, never to feel the bond of a mate, never to be humane to women. The beast shall not depart from you. I curse you to be worse than your father!” I believed she was babbling and killed her nevertheless. I swallowed and turned to my mother with cold and mean eyes. “No.” I walked away. “Why didn’t you fucking tell her?!” Blaze lashed out at me.

Twilight stared at him, uncertain of what to say. “You did nothing wrong,” he continued. “I'll find a way to fix everything. You just need to trust me.” Twilight bit down on her lower lip. She wanted to trust him, but another part of her held back—afraid. Afraid that if she dared to hope, she’d only be dragged back into the werewolf world her father had warned her about. “I can’t,” she sniffed, wiping her tears with the back of her hand. “I don’t want to drag you into my misery.”

I whispered, my voice trembling. His smile widened, a slow, predatory grin that sent shivers down my spine. "Of course I did. I needed to talk to you. Alone." He took a slow step towards me, then another. My eyes darted around the room, looking for an escape, but there was nowhere to go. My heart hammered. This was it. This was the moment. He knew. "You know," he began, his voice a low, casual drawl, "you look a lot different without that black wig, 'Eve'."

He placed a cold finger underneath my chin and tipped it upwards. “Look, my love. When the moon is swallowed whole,” he trailed his finger down my cheek. I flinched Which only seemed to bring him more satisfaction. “Your power becomes mine. Your light, your soul, you shall be wed to me, under the stars. Isn’t that romantic?” I looked at him and glared. Without a seconr thought, I spat at him. It landed on his cheek. For a second, he was quiet and then he chuckled.

She could not stop talking about how excited she was for me to see her bedroom. The sun was setting by the time we finally reached their home. The house was far from the city, set high on a hill, and as we drove up, I could see how beautiful the surrounding homes were. It was already dark, so the streetlights and house lights lit up the area with a soft glow. Tall trees lined both sides of the road, their thick branches adding to the quiet, cold atmosphere, even though I had not stepped outside yet.
