His gaze switched to Brittany as his lips held a gracious smile. That literally made me scoff within myself. Brittany chuckled quietly for a brief moment, that even I was forced to glance at her. Then she said, “I'm Brittany Miller, the first daughter of the Anderson's and as you know, I recently got married to my darling husband here.” She clung to my right arm as she trailed off in her sentence. “So, there's really not much to know about me.” She concluded with a small smile. “Wow! Mr. Miller, you really did an impressive job in selecting a wife.”

Brittany pulled her best friend’s hand and stomped her feet, saying, "Wow, you’re driving me crazy! I can differentiate between what’s real and what’s fake. Just tell me what you heard, and I won’t blame you for anything else!" Brittany was impatient and was notorious for her temper in the entertainment industry. She would have been exposed long ago if she were not popular enough and did not have a family to back her up. Even so, some haters would sometimes reveal rumors about her, but her brother, Brandon Oakley, would suppress them. Just like now, Brittany had just yelled at her assistant, who came to the dressing room to check on her because she was anxious about the news she had heard. "

A thief. A snatcher. An opportunist.”

“No. We’re not doing that. I’ve already seen what that life does. Look at what my brother is going through right now. We’re not going down that road.” Another silence. “I just want us out of this,” she whispered. Before the conversation could go any further, the pool house door suddenly slammed open. Brittany froze. John. Her grip tightened around the phone. “I’ll call you back,” she said quickly before hanging up. John walked in slowly, a smug look already settling on his face. “Talking to your little boyfriend?” Brittany exhaled, exhausted. “John… please. Just leave me alone. You have a wife. You have kids. Just… go.”

Just then, John furiously shouted at one of the bodyguards, “Are you serious? It’s been so many days, and you can’t even find where that b*tch Brittany has gone to? Then what’s the point of having you?” Brittany had made a bold statement, stating that she would destroy the Rockefeller Group within three months. Although he felt a deep sense of contempt in his heart, he absolutely didn’t believe it. Even with the help of the Yowell family, she wouldn’t be able to defeat the Rockefeller family in such a short time, not by just relying on commercial power alone. The Rockefeller Group was not that weak, after all. However, there was an instinctive fear that John had towards Brittany.

Adding this she slowly stepped to the side walking past the brooding teen. Unexpectedly, Jeremy crossed paths with the two on his way out of class, pausing for a brief second as he heard Erika’s understandable words, before forcefully continuing along with an indifferent expression. Britney however, quickly strode in front of the girl followed by her minions, preparing to either boast or flaunt her relationship status, but already maxed out with her level of tolerance for the annoying bratty plastics, Erika voiced out first, “how’s your fingers? Are they too heavy for your hands?”

Erik rolled his eyes and then looked over and noticed Alannah standing awkwardly next to the two of them. “Oh, hi there! Sorry, I didn’t see you… I’m Britany, Darius’s best friend, though you wouldn’t know it since the man never comes to see me anymore. The handsome man up there is my husband, Erik, and he’s holding our son, Matthew,” Britany said as she introduced herself and her family. “Very nice to meet you all… I am Alannah Miles… Uhm… I am Mr. King’s new employee,” Alannah said, stumbling over her words a little.
