Chapter 2: Ang Lihim sa Likod ng Ngiti Habang naglalakad si Evalyn sa hardin, napansin niya ang isang liham na nakapatong sa isang mesa sa ilalim ng isang puno ng mangga. Ang liham ay nasa isang sobre na may eleganteng sulat-kamay. Kuryoso, kinuha niya ito at binasa.

He slapped him on the shoulder ignoring his glare. “Just got back, and in time, I believe. What happened to our rule before man? No poaching, remember?” Matan lowered his voice, so Eliza won’t hear. She was looking at them both with questions in her eyes. Matan excused himself and Evan as he pulled his friend a bit farther. Eliza waved them away, but she didn’t remove her eyes from them. Just then, Evan’s companion approached her. “Men are silly, aren’t they? By the way, name’s Eva. I'm Evan’s twin and you are Eliza, the lady who captured his interest.” She opened offering her hand in greeting.

EVA’S POV I was wandering in the tunnel of darkness when I felt like someone was calling out to me. She was telling me about something important. There was something that I had to do. “Eva, you have to wake up Eva, even if it is just to take revenge for the unborn child’s death. Here you are lying paralyzed, lost in oblivion and there the monsters who murdered your child are moving freely. They are having a whale of a time, eating, drinking, enjoying themselves. It is as if they are being rewarded for sinning.

Eva quickly stood up and tried to listen to where Martin was. Successfully she was able to pinpoint his location and she jumped on the large wolf that was on the other side of the bed. Eva quickly bit into his neck and began to suck his blood.

She was driving close to breakneck speed as she headed straight for the gates of Thriving Dragon Bay. She could not forget what Sebastian looked like in his death. She clenched her fists. “Eva Lane, Nathan Langley!” She shouted as she pushed away the butler who tried to stop her. Her eyes were burning with fury as she roared, “Come out here, bitch!” Eva was helping the children revise their homework in the living room of Thriving Dragon Bay. When she heard Elena’s voice, she got the children to stay in the living room while she went out to have a look.

Lizy and Mark together ran for the chocolate but Nigel made Mark stumble and fall hard on the ground. Lizy took the chocolate from the table and smiled at Nigel. Nigel too smiled back at her. ***** Eva walked out of the bathtub and wrapped her body with a towel. She stood in front of the mirror staring at her reflection. Sh suddenly remembered the flashback she got when she fell off the corridor. She turned around and collected her wet hair aside. She slightly turned her head and glanced at the tattoo she had on her nape. "EVIL" 'Why and when did I get this? Why don't I remember getting this?' she thought deep inside.

Moonlight filtered through the window in pale strips across the floor. She woke with no sound to explain it. No scream. No warning. Just the overwhelming certainty that something was wrong. For several seconds, she lay still beneath her blanket. Then she slowly turned her head toward the window. Beyond the glass, the compound lay still beneath moonlight. She closed her eyes in surrender, shocked when she found herself in a large bubble in front of her, Zayn , his father, and everyone else.
