He stepped out. Tall. Not just tall—broad in that way that made the space around him feel smaller. Dark hair, slightly messy like he’d run his hand through it one too many times. Sharp jaw. Black hoodie, sleeves pushed up to reveal forearms corded with muscle. But it was his eyes that stopped her cold.

“If you ask them about it, you will have to tell them about seeing me. If you do that, I swear they will pack everything up and move. His hands shook miserably and even the sight was disheartening for me, but the sight of Leo on the bed clouded it all. “Dan it!! Open this door!” The guards yelled from outside.

Nick demanded. Evan looked into my eyes and shrugged. “What about them? Are you telling us after all this time that you just noticed how strikingly handsome our future Alpha is?” he joked. “Wha- no, I swear,” Nick muttered looking at me from different angles. “I swear to all that the Moon Goddess gave us - Jake’s eyes were different. Chapter 8 If It Was That Easy When my eyes popped open, I was trying to suck in air in deep, heavy gasps, and I wasn’t in the car anymore. I lay on my back, half propped up, and above me whirled a sickening kaleidoscope of gray sky, tree branches, and a dark, frowning thing, with two points of glowing gold in the middle. I blinked. Eyes. Glowing alpha eyes. Jack. My lungs rattled and bubbled, but I got an almost-full breath and focused. It hurt like hell, but I could feel myself healing.

The spider from my dream—the monstrous, car-sized beast with glowing yellow eyes—was here, its massive body twisting and writhing as it emerged from the shadows. “How is this possible?” I whispered, my voice trembling. The spider let out a screech, its fangs dripping with venom. “Priscilla,” Jake said, his voice urgent, “we’ll talk about Jena later. Right now, we have a real problem.” The spider lunged, its massive legs crashing down where Jake and I had been standing just seconds before. Jake shoved me aside, drawing his blade and slashing at one of its legs. The blade connected, leaving a shallow gash, but the spider barely seemed fazed.

Amid the conversation, a female in the restaurant giggled, and that sound seemed to catch his attention, drawing his gaze across the room. His eyes met the gaze of a lady nearby, and he winked at her, a playful gesture accompanied by a knowing smile. "Just relax, I'm being subtle. She won't see it coming," he assured the caller, a smirk playing on his lips. But before his conversation could continue further, the sound of Nora's voice sliced through the air, her tone laden with curiosity and a touch of impatience. Alexander's attention snapped back to the present, his focus returning to the reality in front of him.
