Faithful Reader Novels & Stories

"Lean back Fifi, and hand the hot chocolate to me. And start reading. I'll hold the mug for you." With the newly residing butterflies in her stomach, Faith leaned back against him and decided that she would concentrate on reading. If Adi wanted to torture himself by being close to her, then it was his problem. She would simply enjoy this experience like he said he wanted her to. She had always thought that a cozy library was the best place for reading, but now Adi had given her the perfect place...to read. In his arms. Leaning back, she relaxed and immersed herself in the world of Jane Austen

, she fell into his arms, holding on to him, like he would vanish every second. “I understand, but before, I always thought that I’m worthless compared to others, you know?!” “I don’t see you as a monster, I love everything about you, and I’m happy you saved me, I just don’t understand how to deal with that other side of me”, she said. “Now, when I think about your words, I understand you, and I know faith brought us together, to make me a stronger, a better person, to be complete, with you.”

We both laughed when we heard this. I decided to answer her. "Hello, we are travelers, we are looking for someone, I heard reports that a woman who I have a history with named “Bathilda Morris” has come to your land”. Minutes pass as we wait for their response. “I do not know whom you speak!” Then, let us enter, that we may search for ourselves? We looked at each other, we could smell her lies.

As if I couldn’t comprehend-wait. I blinked once. Twice. “I-If-” I paused, trying to gather my wits. “If you cook this that means your Mrs. Emma’s son? Right?” “Sebastian.” His gray pools gleamed hotly as he purred out his name. He watched me fidget in my seat for a few moments, dark orbs leaving a scorching trail against my flushed skin. “It’s nice to finally meet you Raelynn.” “I didn’t mean to pull you away from your work! I tried to stop your mom-”

His eyes narrowed. “Listen to me,” I said. He tried to pull back. I held on harder. “I have been faithful all these years.” The room went silent in a different way then. Because that mattered. More than most people would understand. More than some would ever know how to name. Bonds like ours did not reduce themselves to bodies, but fidelity inside them was not trivial. He would know if I lied. Not only by instinct. By the part of him that still recognised me too deeply to be fooled in that way.

He said to them giving Daniel eyes, Daniel mothered 'later. "Alright, my regards to Christiana." Doyin said remembering her. He smiled politely leaving them. He walked further greeting the customers while Faith and her friends sat there talking. Faith's eyes followed him around, she was getting tired of being a good employee when she travelled all the way from Benin to get back with him. She told herself it was time to get James back especially after she thought she saw him looking at her butt as she walked out of his office during the week. She just knew he missed her and was just guiding because of one ugly flat hoe. In her words.

She said with raised eyebrows. Rose was the better of both of us. She was the strong one the smart one, the bold one everything I did she could better. And I love her so..much I couldn't tell you. She was a cheerful, kind, beautiful and bold with a heart of gold. She had long, dark hair, soft brown eyes and a gentle smile that lit up any room. She was confident in her abilities and never hesitated to take on a challenge. She was kind to everyone she met, always willing to lend a helping hand. She was strong and never backed down from a fight. She's my a beacon of light in this dark world.

It was a hunger for the man, not the mentor. The faithful husband. He looked at his own wedding ring, a platinum circle that was as heavy as an iron collar. Faithfulness wasn't just an issue of action. It was an issue of the heart. And his heart had been at that Alaskan resort, leaning into contact that wasn't his wife's. He had offended his wife in his heart a thousand times over with one, damning minute of quiet.

“I have a right to blame Ulric and say mean words to him because I'm the one he cheated on. I’m the one he promised to be faithful to and failed. You though, what’s your reason for wanting him to be six feet deep in shit? You might not have done any better if you were in his shoes, so cut the act.” I chuckle because this is so rich of her. “Unlike your precious Ulric Highrise, I AM A MAN, and a man knows he has to be faithful to his vows. I never go against my word, and my word is my bond. If you’re asking if I'd be faithful in my marriage, then the answer is yes Sophia, because I know firsthand what unfaithfulness brings.
