There were hundreds of books on the capital city and going through them all was taking quite some time to find any maps. Leanunya continued her search throughout the day and back into the night. It was close to the middle of the night when she finally discovered a book with a map with the layout of the city excluding the castle. She smiled and started to study the map sitting on the floor near a lamp. She suddenly sensed danger and without thinking rolled to the side dropping the book. She looked up to where she had been sitting and saw Wolferan. She bounced to her feet and ran for the nearest exit which was the window. She heard a curse from behind her even as she jumped through the window.

When I paused to catch my breath, the System’s mechanical voice chimed softly in the air: [System Update: Resource Zone Expansion – Complete] [Reward: 50 Evolution Points + 1 Skill Slot Unlocked] A surge of warmth pulsed through me. The thrill of progress—the tangible proof that I was no longer powerless—lit my veins like fire. Each point, each upgrade, was another chain broken from the helplessness of my past life. I opened the new skill slot immediately, curiosity buzzing in my mind. The holographic screen materialized, glowing faintly blue. [Skill Slot Available: Choose Path] 1. Enhanced Reflexes 2. Plant Manipulation (Seed Control) 3. Inventory Compression

After about five minutes of intensely combing through the whole house, I still came out empty-handed. “All for what?” I groaned and snapped my neck to look at the last corner, and my eyes caught something in the shadows—a big ancient Greek book laid on a table with a stack of other smaller books. There were also black inks, bird feathers, and a detailed map. I got closer to the table, and a better observation at the map revealed the mapped territory—all four wolf kingdoms were highlighted with a spot of red ink.

My fingers slide over the spine before I pull it out. I flip the book open, and my eyes catch something unexpected but very much sought after. Maps. Not of pack borders but routes. Underground tunnels. Certain outposts not marked on the official map. Margins field with coded symbols that I may not understand but certainly will have no problem deciphering in my alone time. It is clear. These are the routes the omegas are always sent through to meet their doom and deaths. “Hah.” I scoff, my pulse quickening. Unless you actually got your hands on something like this, you would’ve never have suspected.

I take the book back out to the living room area, where I pace the room staring at the pages. There are phone numbers, more maps. But there’s nothing on the damn maps to specifically say where it is. No city, state, not even a dang continent. They have to mean something. He couldn’t have possibly had packs in all these places? “Gold Hollow,” I say, finally seeing something under a map. *It has to be a pack,* Hope says, nodding. He’s even got a little river next to it, exact where a wolf pack would likely make a home. The wolf counselor Ash, or his son River would know what to do with this book.

If only her body and mind works at the same pace. "Sandra?" Salvador asked curiously. "My sister." Luna nodded. "You don't look alike." He stated. "They say that alot." Her eyes caught a quite complex map. She wasn't that good at reading maps but she could tell it was more of an action theme by the different territories marked out. "The maps are for your books right?" "Hmm..." Salvador hummed. "Then which book is this?" She turned over the book for him to see. "Let me see." He adjusted the nerdy glass sitting on his nose, squinting his eyes at the note. "I think it's 'NEKON'S.' map."

SHARON’S POV The map room smelled of old leather, fresh ink, and the faint cedar Morris always carried on his skin. I stood at the long oak table with my palms flat against the edges, staring at the red pins Kelly had pushed into the paper: safe houses, border crossings, neutral towns just beyond pack territory where no wolf scent would follow. Three days of planning had turned the table into a battlefield of notes, routes, and contingency lists written in Morris’s sharp, slanted handwriting.

"Are you the one with the truck?" He opened one eye. "Sometimes." She showed him a notebook with her name scribbled big on the cover. "Then take that. It's my map." Caelan knelt to examine it. Rivers, bridges, lined through with dotted lines, trees that were no longer standing. "You memorized all of this?" "I sketched it so people won't get lost again." He creased the page like a paper. "Then I won't lose that either." --- 9:26 AM – Foundation Mobile Outpost, Hilltop Overlook

I can even remove the trees or the water from the map if I want to, this skill is one of my favorite skills hoho, and it became a sub combination skill in my skill tree! Alright now… let’s see what we have here… the dominating geography is flat, there is a hill here and there but the forest sure is a plain… there's a ravine at the northwest and a mountain chain at the northeast all the way to the southeast… a waterfall that comes from the mountain chain and flows all the way to the center of the forest forming a river and a lake…the biggest and highest hill is close to that lake, the side that faces the pond, a cave entrance is in there…
