Novel & Cerita Fatigued To Fantastic Book

***** Book Two: Betrothed to the Ruthless Barbarian King Leila’s point of view I just ran out of pages, I closed the book slowly, reluctantly….. like the story would disappear forever if I shut it too fast. It didn’t, it never did. That was the problem with reading fictional books. The stories didn’t end when you reach the last page, they stayed. They clung to your chest, wrapped around your thoughts, sank into your bones like something permanent, leaving you stranded in the last paragraph like someone pulled the ground beneath your feet mid step.

I was loving my life like this. But, I had to admit, today I was a little tired. My mind had been more than a little over-run with thoughts, not only the last few days, but today too. It made for a very tired brain, and a very tired Camilla. It meant I felt like I was ready to crash. So, after the days work, as enjoyable as it may have been, I was most certainly ready to return to my room and put my feet up for the evening. Maybe even a soak in the bath was called for, and a few chapters of my new book I had picked up at the new bookstore that had opened a few doors down from the art store. I truly did not think it would take me long until I was asleep tonight.

I hope he accepts the apology. On my way to English, I let out a yawn. I am tired. Not just physically, but I am truly tired of this story too. I just want to go home. I will finish reading the book and I will not say one bad thing about it. I will even leave a good review. Please just let me go back. We are not even halfway through.

"Yes. The book mentioned the Great Rift. And how it has affected the four kingdoms. It's a children's tale, but since you are similarly grounded to a child's limited knowledge, this is a good starting place," I clasped the book in hand. This is what I meant when I say I can't return empty-handed. "Seems like we're done for the day," I said. With a nod as his reply, I finally stood from my seat, clutching the book in my hand. And as soon as I stood, I finally felt the back pains and the tremors running down my limbs. I can feel my mind pulsing, probably an after-effect of the process of mind-reading. Instead of making a complete exit, I shortly paused.

God, the books. I'd already used my employee discount twice. Once on a new romantasy release that had been all over BookTok. She felt fragile, constantly shivering, with a bizarre ache in her chest that only seemed to subside when Roman Blake was near. But last night, that mysterious exhaustion had been violently overridden by pure, unadulterated terror.
