Find A Book In A Library Novels & Stories

I decided that today, I am going to get some answers. I tied my hair up with a hair band and threw on some baggy sweatpants and an oversized shirt. Although I may look homeless, I am comfortable. Scurrying down the stairs, I sneakily walked into the library to do some studying. Nothing beats the library though, it is homey and throws out the perfect amount of light from the few windows along the back wall among the shelves of books. I could live here happily if it had a bathroom and a cooking area. My fingers touched the spines of the book as I walked through the rows, making a pattering sound until I reached the back of the library where the books started with the letter V are located. It f

She asked, obviously trying to shift the conversation. “Well I was searching for you. I got lost and I stumbled upon the mansion's library.” I replied. “It must have been stressful.” “It was, but luckily someone directed me to your room. I also found a book in the library.” “What book?” “Midnight Howls by Orin Darkhowl.” I replied. “Let me guess, you need me to get the book out of the library for you. So that you can read it each time you come to my room.”

I found the library by accident two hours later. I’m not looking for it. I’m learning the estate the way I learn everything, walking it before anyone’s moving, mapping the exits, the hallways, which floors creak, and which ones don’t. The library is at the end of the east corridor, door left open, warm light coming from inside. I go in because I can’t not. There’s a book already open on the reading table. Not left for me, abandoned mid-session, someone’s research was interrupted. I glance at the page without meaning to.

“There’s an entire book about the war? You dumbhead, Hailey. Why didn’t it occur to you?! I..Just shut up!” Finally, I make my way over to the library. It was pretty hard to find. But I reached it. I was looking through all the sections, trying to find out where I could find the old damn book, but I couldn’t figure out how these books were stored. I took a turn around a corner and saw a dark figure standing and holding a giant book. I could only see their back, but by the looks of it, they had the book I was trying to find. “Um, excuse me? Are you finished with this book?”

I had considered asking Luna Sandra before, but given the way she replied to me about my stepsisters, I knew she wouldn’t grace me with an answer. I scrolled down the list that appeared until I found the section that said Legends, Myths, and Curses. There were other subtopics, but I had no time to go through them yet—perhaps later if I had the time. The books were arranged by letters and numbers, so I quickly wrote them down on a piece of paper and exited the page to erase the evidence of my search. My next task was to find the books. With the guidelines, moving through the library was easy now. I took the books down, sometimes having to use the ladder that leaned on every bookshelf. Most of

I’m screwed. The time is ticking and five minutes in the library and I’ve only scanned thirty books that are all unrelated to destiny. I have never held that book nor seen it but based on what my parents said, it looks magical. Everything in this library looked so ordinary! I spent another five minutes scanning the back of the first shelf I approached before I ran to the second shelf. This is hopeless, one of the stupid ideas I’ve had in a while. Curse that vampire! There’s got to be a way to find it...

I keep my head down as I make my way toward the library. Once inside the main library, I drift toward the reading lounge, pretending to leaf through a thick botany book. I wait several more minutes, eyes anxiously flicking toward the arched windows and the double doors to see if anyone else is entering. When it’s clear that no one is coming, I shut the book and quietly push it back onto the shelf.

I sighed as I threw the book I was reading to the side. “Maybe he has something in his office?” Ace suggested. I considered that as I looked around the library. It was a vast library with almost every book this world had ever seen. I shouldn’t give up after an hour, but I didn’t think I would find anything. My instincts told me I could spend the rest of my life in this room, but I wouldn’t find anything. “It is worth a try.” I spoke to my wolf as I stood up.

“No, not in the new stock but we had a copy in our old library.” “ Sir, can you tell me where the old books are kept. I need that book to complete an assignment. Please……” “ They are kept in the store. Go and look for it in the basement. I am very busy. I won't be able to accompany you.” He said handing me the keys. The books in the store were dusty. I had to take a cloth and wipe them to read their titles. It would take the whole day if I continued in this manner. I called up Ryan, “ Can you meet me in the library store. It is in the basement and ask Melisa to come along, if possible.”

I just spent all night searching for a book and almost had myself strangled half to death, after being the reason a library lady was killed. Great.
