He trails off and I growl, walking to the door of the cabin. “He can’t die,” I pause. “Mia, start the fire!” I watch as she looks at me and then at Finn, running to the fireplace, “I need something to light this,” she begins, but Finn’s eyes pop open and he screams, scaring all of us. “Oh, My Goddess,” he screams in pain. I quickly run to his side, “We are going to fix this buddy,” I say, looking at Mia. “We are going to start a fire and cauterize the wound.”

Heat turns to an incandescent burn, and I remember why I still drink sourplum brandy. Sometimes, the best thing one can do in this life is burn. Hot, bright, and fast. Defiant of what the world decrees for you. Finn sinks teeth into my lower lip and pulls back sharply with a lance of pain. I take the split second he’s away from me to meet his gaze. She giggled when she was tickled by their flapping wings against her face. Theo smiled first before answering. Maddie takes away all his stress from ruling even with just her smile. "This is the sanctuary of the novis flam." Maddie turned around and her brows met as she cannot understand the last phrase Theo said. "The what?" Theo pointed to the fountain with his hand and Maddie followed it with her eyes. "The last flame." Maddie nodded before she looked at Theo. "Last? What do you mean by that?" Theo asked her to sit on the nearby bench. The guards are scattered around the place but no one is near them. Somehow they got some privacy which put Maddie at ease. She glanced at the fountain firs

Seeing Emilio struggling to heal fueled my anger and balls of fire suddenly appeared on my palms. They were small but I knew I had managed to summon hell and heavenly fire. The bluish flame on my right palm was heavenly fire while the golden flame on my left palm was hellfire. It wasn't the amount I was hoping to summon but judging from the look of fear on Ramsey’s face. I knew I could do some damage if I used it right. “We can talk about this, Princess. You don't have to do this.” He uttered nervously. “You didn't have to kill my dad, but you did,” I responded, flicking my fingers as I swirled the little fireballs in my hands.

It needed to be snapped or killed or it needed to be appeased or fed; they could douse the fire or they could add fuel to the flames.
