Chapter 13 Set Fire and Burn by Ruth Nalio Angelica… Darkness surrounded me and the screaming of the wind filled my ears. The ground shook beneath my feet, cracking with each step I took. My flaming fingertips trailed along the walls of the building next to me, catching it on fire with ease. Inside, I was filled with more pain and anger than humanly possible. Terror woke me from my nightmare, and I sat up screaming. Looking down at myself, I jumped out of the bed as I realized I was on fire. “Fuck! No!” I shook my hands, as if I could shake out the fire.

The god cackled and it filled him completely, the sound like a bass drum rumbling viscerally. The clouds convulsed and a great bolt of pure light flew into his body; the porthole . . . his naval. Like a puppet on a string, his back arched painfully to the point where his feet could be seen bent over backwards. A fiery storm brewed within Silvio's gaze, his eyes ablaze with a tempest of fury. Silas clasped onto my arms, his grip growing ever tighter, as Silvio's searching gaze followed the path of Silas's touch. I yell on top of my voice, if I could jump from the window I will do it, I run downstairs The guards try to ask me what's going on but that only made me angry, how couldn't they have heard what was going on! getting outside the van already start to move, I try running after the van... I run as fast as my legs could take me to the extent I couldn't even hear or feel my heart beating, so many emotions coming at me all at once, I can't loose my baby, I have to keep going, I... I can't stop....I feel my body start to slow down....the van was out of sight, I try to keep moving but I end up falling down, I hear a loud ringing in my ear, my vision starts to blur I see people gather me but I couldn'

There was something glowing in my mind that was about to explode. The fleeting feelings of unknown was at the center of my thoughts. At this moment I am a prisoner in a free world. Every corners of my mind seemed to speak by themselves and my heart seemed to be in ablaze. I stared blankly at the bright light in house in daze. It was like my eyes were roving around for something which I was not there. Something beyond its reach it persisted and jammed my heart with queer thoughts. In this night, I felt like embracing somebody. My heart felt lonely and devoid while my whole body seemed into be in flames.
