Floating Shelf Bedside Table Novels & Stories

A book shelf was hung above the table with books arranged neatly in it. Inside the room were three doors, two on one side and one on the other side. One door led to the bathroom. One led to the dressing room, which was quite spacious with a walk-in closet and a dressing table _ and there was still a wardrobe in the room. The lone door on the other side led to the balcony. Another groan escaped Shirley's throat as her alarm started to buzz. Half awake, she reached out without turning to the bedside table where the alarm was, and turned it off.

A bay of windows letting light filter through the sheer white curtains, the light bouncing off the toile red walls and the same hardwood floors I saw downstairs. The room was beautiful with a simple white metal queen size bed positioned against the wall facing the bay of windows, two white wooden nightstands flanking the bed, a simple white dresser that Forrest had started to arrange my flowers on top of, a white desk with a chair positioned in front of a window, in the center of the room hung a white-painted iron chandelier. A creamy area rug to anchor the room.

The diamond big table,laid down with different fruits in an ivory coloured basket. At each corners had antique furniture - the love shaped flower vase, a mysterious ice sculpture of a naked lady, gracefully kneeling and holding her child. A beautiful ivory carving of a neon tetra fish. Everything was ancient but beautiful. I walked further into the bedroom section and my mouth separated, creating a small o on my lips.

At the foot, a throw blanket in a kaleidoscope of geometric patterns added a playful touch. To the left of the regal bed, a weathered nightstand, its surface worn smooth with time, held a table lamp. Its warm glow cast dancing shadows on the wall, adding a touch of intimacy to the room. A crystal vase overflowed with lilies, their heady fragrance filling the air with a sense of peaceful luxury.

In front of the seat was a glass coffee table with curved legs made of wood. The was a queen size bed with a soft creamy white colour bedsheet, purple colour blanket at the foot of the bed was folded neatly and a lot of cushions were scattered before the headboard, they were all in different shades of purple pillow cover.The bed frame was golden in colour.Four pillars around the bed gave it the look of a tent, with white transparent curtains hanging from it. A big red carpet was spread on the floor.

Beyond, there was a picture window that was revealed when screens were pulled aside on pulleys. In this side of the room, which was compartmentalized with those translucent screens that were like paper, complete with Asian-style designs on them, there was a low sofa, cuboid and boxy, but comfortable nonetheless. A kind of reed-like rug lay on the floor and the coffee table was barely a foot off the ground. Opposite, there was a console table, which was thick, boxy, and dark, gleaming in a way that spoke of expensive Shellac, with a few decorative items on top. Above, there was the only thing I’d expected—a large TV.

Shawn groaned, "What? ” “That little clicking noise.” He frowned. “Yeah, I can hear it. What the hell is that?” he murmured, and he surveyed the room. He stopped when he heard a small buzzing from somewhere underneath the table. ”It's here.” He signalled to Catherine to keep still. The small desk in the corner before him had a fake leather top in a deep shade of burgundy. It was obviously not an expensive piece of furniture. There was an old-fashioned blotter, matching the tabletop, with a couple of inkwells and cheap fountain pens—the type someone would dip into to write or sign. It literally has metal bars framing over the bed in a canopy like structure. Oh God, my eyes found this tall rack with wide shelves, familiar and unfamiliar subjects both gleamed back at me. Things I’m familiar with but has never for once used them in my life. Why would I use a butt-plug? Or that choker? And what the fuck are the rest of stuffs for? Not too far from the rack and directly adjacent the bed was placed a modern lounge chair, black, curved, and with a studded designing. And….. and what in the absolute fuck is that?

I stand in the center of the large walk in closet area attached to my suite, it looks like another room instead of being called a closet as I stand in my bra and panties feeling like an exhibit. The walk in closet is very large filled with empty shelves, I hadn’t even noticed there was even one until Laurent who’s been a godsend ushered the designers in and suggested we use the closet for testing out the clothes. It has Floor-to-ceiling shelving lines three walls, all empty, The wood is a rich walnut color, smooth and polished, with built-in lighting tucked discreetly along each shelf so everything glows softly instead of glaring. It helps that it is almost on the top floor. On the other side of the bay of the window was a table with four chairs, but since I have no friends, I didn't see the value in them. So, I gave them to the landlady, 'cause she needed another set. I bought and then installed another bookshelf there with a cute small couch, I found in a garage sale. Beside the couch is my bedroom. Who am I kidding? It's not a bedroom, just a little secluded area for my bed. I would hear someone let the water flow from the bathroom or the kitchen if I have someone since the bathroom is beside my bed and the kitchen is in front of my bed.
