The Alpha and Luna had heard that the pack that started the war was looking for new born to young pups, especially those who carried a Alpha blood line. They wanted to train these pups to believe how they did and to fight, not caring if they lived or died. Since they were not one of the packs hinding young, non-warriors or elderly, the Alpha/Luna decided to send their sons over the mountain rang, to an allie pack that the war hadn't drawn in. This decision(even through hard) was made to keep them safe and away from all of the fighting
