“He is.” Unfortunately, sweet is the equivalent of boring to me. She squeals, my answer surprising her, and I know she’s picking dates for our next double date. Adam returns with my drink a couple of minutes later.
“For the lady.” I take it, then shuffle over as he scoots in beside me.
“So, tell me about yourself.”
“Nothing to tell; my life is pretty boring—work and then home.”
“Maybe I could spice it up for you.” Yeah, if mayonnaise was considered a spice. I giggle.
